I've often wondered, reading these threads, how people arrived at their posting names!

Mine came from my beautiful black lab, Cody.  My boys are 30 and 25 now, and we felt like empty nesters for a while until we got Cody...he's now my "son" and I'm his mom...thus the name "Codemom"...I call him "Code" occasionally for short!

It's amazing how our furchildren fill voids in our lives!

Well, I'm a sports fan in a big sports town.  All of our (3) professional teams wear black and gold.  I think we may be the only city in the country with that distinction.  Black (Blk) & Gold Fan just fit.

@lOVETOSHOP  we had a black lab/springer mix named Cody!

He lived to 18.  We got our Cody right after we go married 31 years ago.  We also had a yellow lab than lived 10 years. She went first. Five months later we lost Cody.  Then we had a basset hound for 12 years.

          Thanks for the thread, @Shanus!   I always enjoy seeing the thoughts behind the nics.   My sister and I used to write songs and sing, and one was a silly one that included "doo-bee-doo."   My sweet father always wanted us to sing it for him, and he would listen with such a beautiful, beaming smile on his face.   He passed away when I was 17 years old...  and it was at Thanksgiving, so it's particularly bittersweet to see this thread today.   He's a part of my heart, and my silly nickname is a tiny reminder to me.❤️
