For anyone interested, I bought the Lancome stick foundation in 260 Bisque -- for medium-light skin with neutral undertones. It's a perfect match for my skin.

I was slightly concerned that it might be too drying, but I haven't found that to be the case at all. It's excellent coverage and very natural looking.

So Tuesday April 12th was the last day of the Sephora promotion of 10 percent off for a beauty insider so I decided to go into the Sephora store in Canada and take another look around. Maybe the Clarisonic brushes would be a good deal? Hmm...no I don't think so. I looked at fragrances and makeup, no gift sets to tempt me. So I didn't spend anything at Sephora.

But here's what I bought elsewhere during the same time period that the Sephora promo was on:

A small bottle of Prada Candy Florale eau de toilette from Winners in Canada. This was a last summer promotion at Shoppers Drug Mart and the one I bought at Winners replaces the bottle that I bought in December at Winners and used up.

Three Danielle black handle makeup brushes from Winners -- a powder, angled blush brush, and a stipple brush. All are taklon nylon bristles.

A L'Oreal charcoal retractable eyeliner pencil. I own one already but this is discontinued so I bought a backup one on clearance at London Drugs.

A Maybelline Brow Drama blonde pomade crayon for brows from Walmart. I'm using this shade as an eyeshadow and eyeliner. I also own the medium brown and dark brown shades in this chubby crayon already and I think they make great eyeliner pencils as they are retractable and easy to hold.

A Pink Sugar Simply Pink gift set from Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada. This is on sale for about $20 CDN and it contains a hair cologne like spray, an eau de toilette spray, and a small tube of body wash gel. A real bargain!

Thanks for mentioning the palettes, somehow I missed those. I should pick up the one for green eyes and the one for all eye colors ( the gray). I like that they are matte as I have very few matte shadows.

I didn't get a change to return to Sephora yesterday but that's okay. There will be other sales elsewhere for more percentages off.

I love Sephora, I love their beauty card, you get points everytime you purchase something and they do not go away.  I get my philosphy there and if i want to try a perfume they will give you small samples.  Love Sephora.

I had my eye on those palettes, but the reviews were less than stellar.  Several reviewers said these shadows aren't up to par with KVD's usual quality.

Please post a review when you get them.  I'm very eager to hear what you think!

The sale started on the 9th for regular beauty insiders. I got my notice about a week before then and an email a day before then several emails during the sale, which might actually be over today or tomorrow. Also sephora had the info on their home page of their website.
