The other thing I did use up was a 1/2 ounce of lavender, and do have more on hand. A drop or 2 for its calming & antibacterial properties. I do not use anything w/ lav in my skin care.

But I did find this from PubMed:

...studies demonstrated a faster rate of wound healing, increased expression of collagen, and enhanced activity of proteins involved in the tissue remodeling...

OK I'll bite - why not get your haircut by a professional?

@scatcat  If I could only find a good one!! Last "professional" I went to did such a terrible job on my hair! She was the owner of a more expensive salon around here. I've had no better luck with other professionals on the expensive side. Despite photos and endless explanations.

Before the pandemic I did have a great stylist, but I never got her last name, and that salon closed for good. I was stuck with doing my own hair, which I wear above shoulders, layered.

So on the hunt again, but I am awfully "gun shy."

One thing about doing it yourself - when you see something out of place, you just pick up the shears and everything is neat again.

Re: What did you use up this week? 1/20

@Harpa   When I first moved from the East Coast to the northern burbs of Chicago,  I had to find a hair cutter.  It took 2 different people before I found someone I liked.   One did a horrible job.   I think they were more used to cutting men's hair!!!!!

Can you ask someone who has a cut that you like,  who they go to,   even if not exactly what you want?  I once had someone who worked at the Post Office contantly compliment my hair and then she asked who I went to....

I also trim my hair between cuts...   I learned how from watching and asking.   However,  I go to have the lines cleaned up every 6-8 weeks.

GOOD LUCK!!!!

Re: What did you use up this week? 1/20

I tossed two tubes of Tarte Lights Camera Lashes that I found in my office tote and a makeup bag that I put in my car.  Don't know how old they were and don't take a chance if I don't know.  Replaced one with another from my stash.

That's it for me this week.

Finally I get to join this thread!  I used up a tub of Pure Grace.   I usually jump from product to product and rarely get to the  bottom of anything.  It's a great feeling to throw away an empty container.  I should try to do it more often before buying more, more, more Woman Very Happy

Re: What did you use up this week? 1/20

Happy weekend beauties!

I used up: Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless foundation- this was nice enough, I usually get the Aquasmooth but tried this instead. It was getting a bit dry near the end, I don't wear makeup that often anymore. I have 2 other Covergirl foundations here plus a J Cat powder foundaion to work on using up before I have to buy more.

Suave Almond + Shea Butter conditioner 28oz- replaced with the same only a smaller container.

Gifted 2 packages of bath bombs to my son's girlfriend- no one here takes baths anymore.

Tatcha Water Cream Smiley Sad  I'm so sad Smiley Sad  Since it's so spendy I tried the Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream.  It's not wowing me.  I've only used it for 3 days tho.  It's too heavy to use under my makeup and I need a daytime moisturizer I can use under makeup.  I miss my Tatacha Water Cream!  I'll probably end up repurchasing it but won't wait till I'm finished with the Kiehls product.  Why use something you don't care for and isn't right for your needs just because you bought it?  I don't understand that.

OK, I just repurchased it on eBay for $48.  99.8% positive ratings and 1449 sales.

This is the 2nd Kiehls moisturizer I've not liked or couldn't use.  They are just too heavy.  The toner/essence product, I love!
