Re: What Does Your Vanity Area Look Like!”?

I wish my bedroom was large enough for a vanity like yours @gidgetgh .

Most of my makeup stuff with skin care is in 3 drawers in our bathroom vanity. The most used stuff is on the left side of the sink-- brushes in a cup, lotion, makeup remover, hand cream & the current fragrance I am using.

Thank you!  No, that's not the artist's name.  The painting was bought from Amazon earlier this year.  The bathroom's color inspiration was taken from the Caribbean cruises we've taken...the color of sand and sea.  The floor tile is a light sand color.

Re: What Does Your Vanity Area Look Like!”?

It's a basket (plastic) that has tons of 'stuff' in it.

I only use the Maybelline waterproof mascara, IT eyeliner, some kind of little pod of bright red stuff I put on my cheeks.  Can you believe I bought it during one of those QVC things when they put on shoes for charity or something like that.

There were tents outside and people were selling makeup, shoes, everything.

I've never found everything I like so much as this.  It doesn't have a name on it.  It's so good my daughter wanted to take it back to Denver with her and I said, "I'll give you one of my kidneys, but never this rouge stuff".   Ha!

I put on various types of liquid makeup depending on the weather and under that I put on Laura Geller Spackle.  Oh!  and the eyebrow thing from Benefit.  It has a brush in it and it mostly colors my eyebrows from turning gray to light brown.

But the basket has umm...at least 12 tubes..OK, maybe 10 of lipstick, lots of eyebrow stuff and stuff I don't even use.

Back in college I had an old mid century secretary desk that I used as a vanity. Honestly I still think it’s a brilliant way to store makeup and have a vanity that you can close up.

[ Edited ]

My vanity occupies one end of the MB and is 8 feet long with 3 deep drawers on each side of the seating area, an upper cabinet above on each side and one upper cabinet in the middle. With the "potty room" behind me, I couldn't get the phone at an angle to take a pic of the vanity itself...couldn't back up enough.

For those who are envious of all this space, it can be an excuse to hoard or purchase new products to try since there's more than enough room for storage...some shelves/drawers are empty. Linens are in a separate closet and skincare (shown in photo) is next to sink in my medicine cabinet. When we built the house, I designed that area for makeup application on clients if necessary.

Re: What Does Your Vanity Area Look Like!”?

My mom did not mind clutter and all cabinets and counter's were covered with items.  From my first apt. I put all away not a single personal item displayed in the bathroom.  Excluding hand lotions.   Just a box of Kleenex, hand soaps and some sort of decorated item on the bathroom cabinets.  All makeup stored away for my eyes only.

Re: What Does Your Vanity Area Look Like!”?

@MagnoliaMs   My linen closet is in my bathroom.  I bought a 3 drawer 10x10 storage unit.  Top drawer is foundation, blush, powder, concealer; middle drawer is mascara, eye shadow, curler, eyeliners; and the bottom is for brushes, misc.  I keep this unit in the linen closet and my vanity area is the area around the bathroom sink.

Oh I love this topic!  I have a beautiful vanity in my bathroom.  I say mine because when we built this house in our early 20s, it was meant to be shared with my husband.  HA!  I think I can conveniently say that our marriage has lasted 41 years because within the first two years (at most) I gave DH is own bathroom at the other end of the house Smiley Happy The vanity used to be about 7ft long with two sinks.  It's been shorted about 8" and just one sink now to make room for the soaking tub.  I've  included hubby's bathroom as well.

I love my bathroom.  It's my happy place Smiley Happy  I keep it clean and organized.

@monicakm I love that your husband's bathroom has such a masculine vibe!
