I keep my house as neat as possible, but when I go back to the vanity/make-up area it looks like a makeup store blew up in there. I have all sorts of cosmetics on my vanity. I can’t see putting them up each morning and dragging them back out in the evening before my bedtime rituals. What system do you use????

I don't think I have a vanity.  I don't really use cosmetics, but I do have a cosmetic bag that contains some toiletries and beauty implements like tweezers. I keep it in a closet.  

My bathroom is clean and clear...only have a hand soap dispenser on the sink top.

If I had a bunch of make-up, I'd store it in a large organized bag so I could stow it away and have a small bag for the make-up I knew I would be using every day.

@MagnoliaMs  Like you, I am a neat freak, but because "lugging" my routine beauty products is part of my daily routine, I have become accustomed to the inconvenience. There was a time when I would rather have had a root canal.😁

I got a lovely vanity w/stool a few years ago. It's a shabby chic piece. Many years old. It has enough drawers and since the older I get, the less make-up I hoard, therefore fits all my makeup.

Really, I'm a neatnik (of sorts), but there is just not enough storage for bathroom things. So, some of it is hanging out.

A cosmetic bag for pencils, brushes and odds & ends - scissors, nail things - my 10x mirror sits on top of a 3 drawer plastic organizer. Can't I do any better than this? But some skin care things are out, too.

But then, you ought to see my office, not really disorganized, just....things that I can easily reach and way too many yellow sticky notes.

I have a very nicely organized vanity. I have a combination of storage solutions to keep everything in its place. There is a tall skinny 5 drawer unit that is meant for storing crafts. That holds all the powders, blushes, highlighters, not often used foundations. Then I have several acrylic organizers from the container store. Two with 5 slots each, these are used for lip products and eye products. Those are stored in the slots of the vanity table. Then there is one on the table top for most used tall items such as lipsticks and concealers. Then I have all the hair products neatly lined up and then a round ceramic bin that all the hairbrushes are stored in at the end.

@MagnoliaMs Are you talking about a separate vanity table with seat, or a vanity top with the bathroom sink?

I have a double sink and what I do is have an acrylic makeup holder for keeping my everyday makeup in it's place.  I store it under the sink on top of a small drawer unit....easy to pull out and put on my vanity top when I need to use it. 

In the drawer unit I store extras and makeup that I don't use everyday.

ETA:  I have a large mirrored cabinet over the sink that stores all of my skin care and some hair products.  Easy to wash my face & apply skin items before I go to bed.

Hubby and I each have a sink and large vanity top on each side of our bathroom. I fo have a seat with mine. I, also, have 6 deep drawers to store things. They are all full!!! I must get rid of some things. I must be a hoarder, 😄

I must clean some things out!!! I have six drawers and they are all full. I love buying cosmetics even if I don’t need them. I must have a problem, 😀.

In the master bath there is a built in vanity....I never use it that way...I have a habit of standing up to put on my make up.  So I put a old small cabinet (from my Grandparents home LOL) under where a chair should be tucked in.  This way I have lot's more room for all kinds of bathroom item.

On top of this vanity....I have a Lori Greiner (sp?) make up case in white.  Then another style from amazon next to that one  Then on the door I have the long hanging cosmetics mirror cabinet thing from the Q also  This keeps it all in the same area for me and I put everything inside these cabinets/cases.  Plus there are some drawers on the built in vanity.  

I then purchased a lighted round mirror that swings out on the wall above the vanity so when I am putting in contacts or on makeup I can see what I am doing.

I NEED to use up all the dumb stuff I tried and still have....pair it all down to a low roar....but at least it has a place and goes back to it everyday.
