Re: Tatcha Rice Polish

Even tho I have dry skin, I bought the white bottle instead of the purple.  What kind of skin do  you have and which formula do you prefer?

The "Classic" (white) is also for dry (normal to dry) skin.

Tatcha rice polish is my very FAVORITE exfoliator by far.  It's so gentle, but you have to make sure you use it correctly.  You dampen your hands, add the powder and add water on top of that so that when you rub your hands together the rice polish FOAMS UP....  THEN you're ready to apply.   MY SKIN HAS NEVER FELT SO SOFT.   All 3 varieties are super gentle.  You don't feel like it is the kind of exfoliator you're used to!    I thought I preferred the original, but now I'm not sure.  I'm currently using the Blue version.   They are all wonderful and effective.

I found the Lancers to be very abrasive and you should be careful when using.  I don't have sensitive skin but for anyone who does,  just apply very lightly.  The same with many other products in this category.

My skin can be a little sensitive in the morning so I use the purple one in the am. I use the white one at night but only a few times a week.  It's not drying at all. I have normal leaning towards dry skin and they both work for me. I just like the purple soothing one to start the day.

Thanks!  I've watched more than a few videos on the application/use of the powder and yes, it seems the trick is to add enough water to create a good foamy solution.  I'm excited to get it!   It's funny...the two new brands I've been using on my face for the last 2 weeks have been the cheapest (The Ordinary) and, for me, the most expensive (Tatcha).  My face has never felt and looked better Smiley Happy

I have always enjoyed this product, but yes many do not use it properly.  A little goes a long way and it is a gentle enzyme polisher, NOT an abrasive physical scrub.

I made a point to stock up before she sold the company.

I love this product!!!! I have had crappy skin my entire life and as I creep into my early 50’s I seem to struggle more. I ya e large pores and an oily T-Zone wheee the rest could be normal to dry. Also even prone to breakouts at this age. I have tried lots of different cleaners and exfoliatirs so bought this in April thinking I have nothing to lose. Well, love this stuff! Use it 2 times daily on most days and I cannot tell you what it has come doe my skin. It is the only thing I changed so know it is this product. I bought the white bottles but just now tuned in and bought another set of white and the deep to change in once in awhile. I so highly recommend this product. The jars last longer than you would expect if you control how much you really need to use to get a nice foam. Washes away so easily too!
