Re: Removing Waterproof Mascara

I can tell you what I do & I don't get eyelash lose ever! My choice of eyemakeup remover is Neutrogena oil free eye makeup remover in the blue bottle. I never use a dry tissue even to gently rub it it off as I have found a few lost lashes doing it that way with a waterproof mascara. its probably not your product but the way your removing it.

I shake the Neutrogena bottle & soak a cotton round place it on my closed eye, keep on for a few seconds to warm....then with my fingers pat pat pat the lashes, move the cotton round & gently sweep down the lashes....gently swipe up the lash (twice if needed) then use the other side for underneath the lashes...I use 2 cotton rounds, one for each eye. I find Neutrogena to be very gentle on the eyes also. I rather take off my mascasa first then use another cleansing method for my face. JMO... HTH

Re: Removing Waterproof Mascara

I've always worn waterproof formulas and the best thing I've ever found to remove it is Estee Lauder Take it Away. That stuff is wonderful and it comes in a fairly large bottle which lasts me over a year. If you time it right, you can get one of those fantastic give-aways at the EL makeup counter with purchase!

Re: Removing Waterproof Mascara

I've used Noxema cream for many years, and I still do. Signature Club A's "meltdown" are not bad too, but I wish they came in a tube or dispensing bottle instead of a jar. I also found Camellia Oil to work very well too, one of the cleansing products I used to use (now discontinued) had Camellia Oil in it and it did wonders for my lashes! The pure camellia oil was just as efficient. Cleaned off all my eye makeup thoroughly & gently as well. Just a bit put on a cotton pad and a few wipes does the trick.

Re: Removing Waterproof Mascara

Here's another suggestion...I only use Mally's Eye Makeup remover. It is the ONLY product that takes off my waterproof easily and w/o killing my lashes!

I also only use Swissper (spelling?) cotton rounds. Never tissue. I hardly ever lose lashes.

I really think that's the key. Make sure you have enough product and let it sit on the lashes to do the work to dissolve the mascara, then swipe. People swipe or rub too soon and don't let the product do the work.
