You are both kind and brave to post your closeup picture. Your skin looks good even in the closeup. And I love your hair - the color and the curls. You have a fabulous sense, clothes wise, on what colors work w/ your hair and skin tone. So I say, keep on doing what your doing because you look good!
re: the cap, I did order it yesterday because I thought the price was good and I wanted to get started on it asap. It delivers next week. I totally understand what @SilleeMee says about getting a hat with bulbs everywhere, but the price for those hats are a bit high for me w/o totally knowing the technology will work on my scalp.
If this cap works for me and I feel I could benefit from a cap w/ more bulb coverage, I will give this cap to my sister and spring for an upgrade.

@kate2357 @Midmod Thanks for your compliments. I've mentioned before that I both color and perm so there's not much natural about my hair except the fact that it grows out of my head, LOL. I stay with my hairdresser for her perms. She uses a specific perm for fragile hair since I have fine hair and do two chemical processes on it. And, she understands that my hair takes a perm in the minimum amount of time. I have had bad perms before, so I don't want that to happen again.

@Icegoddess wrote:@kate2357 I haven't seen that cap at Costco before. Looks like a good price. I would consider it, but I use the headband and I like to do my treatments right after I wash my hair before I add products in and to do so with the cap, my hair would be half dry before I could put product in my hair, so I would have to spritz it back down.
Here's a pic of the broken capillaries which bother me the most. You can also see un the pic how my cheeks are red all the time (and those darned enlarged pores).
@Icegoddess -------you are beautiful ! Your skin, your hair, your clothes, your make-up....there is nothing I can say!

Smart move to get that cap, one that is affordable for you, and that way you'll know if it will make your hair grow.
I did a similar thing with the Hairmax comb. Tested the waters to see if it would work for me and it did so then I upgraded to a cap.

With that cap you can tilt it to one side or the other and treat more areas other than the center part.

So funny you write that.... was thinking about trying to do exactly that, just need to get the cap and play with it on my head. Thank you for sharing your thoughts...I really do appreciate hearing from people who have experience using these devices.

@SilleeMee wrote:RLT doesn't remove the capillaries themselves. Capillaries become more visible as the skin gets thinner with age and from sun damage which means loss of collagen and fat cells in the skin. RLT boosts collagen and so the skin gets thicker and capillaries become less visible although they are still there beneath the thicker skin layer.
The only way to actually remove broken caps is to get them treated with a laser done by a professional. Either that or by having them treated with IPL (broadband light therapy) but that's often limited as to how deep it can go. Lasers can go deeper to remove the entire capillary so it won't branch out towards the surface and become visible again.
I have a lot of broken caps and red dots caused from a medical condition. I go to my derm about once every two to three years and have them laser treated. They always come back unfortunately.
@SilleeMee I just recently had Vbeam treatment for my broken caps and they also treated my rosacea with a different setting. I have many of them. Most of them left a very dark purple reddish mark where they laser hit them. Taking time to fade away...hoping they are gone for 3yrs like you said or longer. That would really be great.
You mention dots in your post....I have those cherry angioma things showing up all over the place! Derm wasn't alarmed by them. Said they can even be treated with laser too. I don't have them on my face yet...hopefully never I have enough of a mess with sun damage too and very fragile thin skin on my face neck and chest that you can see my blue/green veins easily. But I believe that's genetics plus aging...can only do so much.
Which laser did you have done on your caps??

My derm uses a pulse-dye laser (PDL). I don't remember the name brand but it is adjustable to do caps, angiomas and brown spot removal. Last time I went I asked about that laser and my derm said it's their most requested machine for most skin discolorations.
Some of my broken caps and red dots don't respond to any kind of laser treatment. My derm has been trying different types and she can't believe how resistant my skin is...ugh! I go home with a red face with no changes to the caps. Unbelievable. But many of my caps do respond and my face is clearer than it was before treatment TG.
It's a scleroderma thing.
