So I know I wrote that I didn't think the Westinghouse RLT mask was showing results on my face (after 45 days), but is it possible they could reduce the appearance of broken capillaries on the face? My DIL mentioned she thought my skin was looking really nice, bright, clear and I didn't seem to have as many broken capillaries on my cheek.
I was also watching a Youtube regarding RLT masks and the two doctors indicated you really needed to give the masks 16 weeks to see much improvement. So maybe I was just too quick to dismiss this Westinghouse product. They also said that blue lights are basically only for broken out acne skin and so I stopped using the blue light.
Thoughts from the RLT users?

It did nothing for my broken capillaries. I had hoped it would.

Your skin looks so fabulous, if you have broken capillaries, they sure don't show up in your pictures.
I'm not sure if mine are going away or not ... but they do seem less noticable to me and my dil made a comment. But since my before picture was not a real close up ... who knows. This could very well fall under wishful thinking.

RLT doesn't remove the capillaries themselves. Capillaries become more visible as the skin gets thinner with age and from sun damage which means loss of collagen and fat cells in the skin. RLT boosts collagen and so the skin gets thicker and capillaries become less visible although they are still there beneath the thicker skin layer.
The only way to actually remove broken caps is to get them treated with a laser done by a professional. Either that or by having them treated with IPL (broadband light therapy) but that's often limited as to how deep it can go. Lasers can go deeper to remove the entire capillary so it won't branch out towards the surface and become visible again.
I have a lot of broken caps and red dots caused from a medical condition. I go to my derm about once every two to three years and have them laser treated. They always come back unfortunately.

@kate2357 I have makeup on in all those pics which helps. The one that bothers me the most is on the left side of my face and may be hidden since I take my selfies with my right hand. I doubt it's actually noticeable to the casual observer, but we're always harder on our own faults than we should be.

Thank you ladies for your insight.
I go to the dermatologist in two weeks and will see about getting the one bad red area on the side of my nose (from glasses I assume) taken care of. It's the only one that no make up covers (sigh). As for the rest, well I guess it is what it is, and thank goodness for makeup.

I've got broken caps on the bridge of my nose, too. It's where my glasses sit and cause pressure there which can also be a cause for the broken caps.

Yes, the one on my nose is the worst one. For the most part my glasses cover it, but I know it's there ... so of course it annoys me.
Most of my broken capillaries are very small and scattered across my cheek area. They do seem less noticable and makeup has always covered them. I don't wear makeup when I'm running, so the idea they were going away was appealing.

I have been using the Light Stim for Wrinkles with fantastic results after 3 months. My broken caps are gone and a few darker patches on my face have faded significantly. I see the most improvement in my eye area and right below. While my eyes are still crinkled a bit, the area below, high on my cheekbone is super smooth.
I believe it is the consistent long term use that will yield results. Jist keep at it. Of course I use retin a and sunscreen even if I'm staying inside. But I love my Light Stim!

I have one on the side of my nose and a small cluster about the size of two pin heads along the jawline on my right side. I'll have to look at them with this in mind. I'm either way too used to them to think about it or maybe they are lighter. I'll let you know.
