Just purchased some Retin A from China on eBay. It was not authentic...did nothing to my face. I used it a week, and there was none of the usual pinkness that I usually would get. I had the .05% strength. I see eBay pulled it and said I did not have to complete the transaction. I already had, so I'm requesting a refund.
Just wondering where you purchase your Retin A from without Rx. I know some of you use All Day Chemist. It looks like All Day Chemist now requires an Rx for Retin A. I tried to order it, and they asked me to fax my prescription. Also, it looks like the same tube of Retin A that I purchased from China. Is All Day Chemist's brand authentic? Any other places where it can be purchased?
Thanks so much!

I buy mine from ADC. My last purchase was months ago and I did not need a RX. The product is "Retino-A" , .05% tretinoin cream. No problems with it so far. When I placed my last order with ADC there was a page that asked for RX info but I did not fill it out and just continued on to the next screen to place my order.

Why would anyone order something like this from China and expect it to be authentic?????

Because I didn't know it was from China. It had a U.S. address, but the product arrived from China. Ebay took down their ad.

I went back to ADC, just now, and tried to reorder my Retino-A and I did not have to submit prescription info. Just thought you'd like to know it is not required to purchase it there.

Thank you, @SilleeMee. I was at the site earlier, and it asked for my doctor's information and also told me to fax the prescription to them at a certain phone number. I'll try to skip that part.

For a few years, I would buy Retin A from Medsmex because it was secure and they used Johnson and Johnson branded. They went kaput.
For years now, I get the Rx from my derm. I get it filled at a drug store using Good Rx as insurance will not pay for it at my age. I pay $75 for a large container. It is well worth it. It lasts for about 6 months.

@Yardlie,I used Retin A as lart of my derm's treatment for cystic acne. There is an age around 60 where the derm's don't reccomend it because it hollows us out. Also, with fruits and vegetables, and Retin A, be aware there is an amount that is toxic in regarding Vitamin A.

@ECBG ... Yes, I have discussed the use of Retin A with my dermatologist. He prescribed it even though I am 67. He said that it can thin the skin, but he does not buy into the theory that it goes into the deeper tissues and hollows out the fat. I'm sure every dermatologist is different and believes different theories. I have used it in the past, but I'm trying to find a more economical source of Retin A than U.S. pharmacies.
I am aware that Vitamin A is a fat soluble vitamin and can cause liver toxicity, so I don't take an additional supplement other than what is in my daily multivitamin/mineral.
Thanks so much. I appreciate your response.
