Re: QVC....Please Use Models with Normal Eyelashes for Mascara Demo's

Yes, eyelashes. If I drew my mascara wand through like they do, coats & coats or not, I'm afeered I would have spidery looking long things like they do. So unattractive!

But also unattractive to me are the brush false lashes they wear!

Good golly, Miss Molly!!!!

I have never seen anyone, in real life, with these strange looking eyelashes. I want soft, lush, thick lashes - not looong spider legs, hard spikey lashes. My lashes are long enough. What I want; what I need is volume.

...huh ? If they did that no one would buy their mascara. Women are buying a dream, the dream of long, luscious thick eyelashes. They won't buy into reality.

Andreatoo ~ wow, you know the names of the models???!!! I don't watch QVC often enough to even know the names of all the hosts!

But I did watch the IT presentation last night and thought the model had eyelashes that were just bizarre. Freaky scary. That spider look will never convince me buy a mascara - just the opposite. I changed the channel.

yes I'm nearly 54 and I watch the skincare and makeup presentations so I know the names of some of the models so what? it's what happens when you start aging and looking for something new. but more astounding then my happening to know the names of a few models big deal, is you're getting your panties in a bunch because a model has long lashes and they choose to use her to demo mascara! What is up with that?! you people are complaining that they don't use normal women. What is normal ? you've got your girls with barely there lashes you've got your girls with long eyelashes you got old women you got young women. What is missing?!

I agree, it looks fake and ridiculous!!!!!IT Cosmetics Hello Lashes is a great mascara, so there is no need to do it to prove a point,Mally also does this on her shows and it ends up looking like huge spider legs, and I certainly am not going for that look when I apply my mascara!!!!!!!{#emotions_dlg.scared}

Frankly, I'd love to have lashes like Allie, the blonde with the amazing lashes that touch her eyebrows.

Some women are lucky enough to be born with naturally long lashes.

Just because someone's lashes are long, does NOT mean that they used something to make them that way.

You know what they say about assuming something, right?Wink

Was Yuban, then changed to Plaid Pants due to forum upgrade, and apparently, I'm back to being Yuban.

Re: QVC....Please Use Models with Normal Eyelashes for Mascara Demo's

I agree that the look is ridiculous! Nobody walks around with lashes up to their eyebrows. However, the models aren't using any kind of "special conditioner" to "grow" their eyelashes. Anyone can do the same thing with an eyelash curler and many coats of mascara. The point is - nobody does. I'd love to see a mascara presentation that shows the regular "before," and a more natural "after" look after one or two coats. After all, if they are showing that it takes 49 coats of mascara to work, then why would you want to buy it?
