Need help with Wen combo for my hair. Chin length bob color treated fine. I have tried all but 613 seasonals and BGT. I want to use tea tree for sure of hair growth but by itself find very moisturizing. Lavender is too drying, fig too moisturizing, sweet almond mint moisturizing but almost too much, pomegranate is good and cucumber aloe but haven't used this very much. I do not want to wash hair daily probably every other. What are your suggestions for one to use with tea tree?i don't want to use more than two types. Thanks so much looking forward to your answers and your help.

Why not try TT for first cleanse, then POM for second cleanse sine you seem to get good results from that on it's own. That way you get hair growth benefits of TT, in addition to overall performance from POM.

My hair is chin length, fine and naturally curly. I've been getting great results with TT for both cleanses or the last few times I did TT first and TT mixed with FIG for my second cleanse. I find that with TT I get better curls and more controlled volume.

I just used tea tree for the first time yesterday. I generally use fig. I found it surprising how different they are and my hair looks even better today than it did yesterday! I will probably mix them next wash and get the best of both worlds. I have very curly very dry hair. Personally I can't use the 6:13, I find it too astringent but quite a lot of people really love it

It sounds like tea tree and Pom might work well for you.

Remember, you can mix CC for each cleanse. If your Fig is too moisturizing, then mix fig with another CC for your second cleanse. I found that mixing CCs is the best.

I'll offer another suggestion........why not just use tea tree?? If you're getting great results, there's nothing wrong with using just one formula. If I had to select "just one", tea tree would be it.

Or, maybe try using the same two formulas for a few cleansings in a row. You know, tea tree and pomegranate for a few days, then maybe tea tree and cucumber aloe for a few days. You'll see how your hair reacts to each combination and that might help you make your decision.

Doxie, I think the OP said that TT was "too moisturizing" on it's own - which is why she was looking for another formulation to partner with it. I think your second suggestion is worth trying, and hopefully the OP will invest in a discovery kit.

periwinkle, if tea tree is too moisturizing, try mixing it with the more drying ones you already have - use TT/CA first cleanse, POM second cleanse. You can mix lav with fig or SAM to get the right balance for you. If you only want to use 2, from your description, sounds like TT and POM might be good choices for you. Any of the cc's you don't want to use on your hair you can use as a body wash - I've been using Lav this summer because it's so refreshing and I love the scent.

Periwinkle - Don't worry about how often you wash at the beginning. I think Chaz recommends washing every day when you first start just to get your hair and scalp in better condition. Once you get on the right track that's when you may notice you don't need to cleanse as often. But I wouldn't expect that the first few times.

Also, when you are ready for the next step you should try the oils. Everyone says applying them the night before you cleanse helps your scalp normalize its oil production. Even those with oilier hair think they produce less oil if they regularly apply oil treatments. There are a couple of threads about that on this forum. Take a look at the thread Wen 101 for that information and tons of other useful tips. Bebe77 from the forum did a nice job putting a lot of the best links in one place for us Smiley Wink
