I also take Verisol collagen pills and just started taking 100 mg hyalauronic acid daily too, good for skin and joints.
Checking my dosage, would you please share the amount of Verisol collegen you take daily?

I take Puritans Pride brand, label says to take 3 tablets daily totalling 2500 mg Verisol . I also have used Natures Bounty which was the same dosage. Also, Dr Dubrow's Colla Holla also supplies 2500 mg Verisol in his daily serving.

@Shelbelle I can find no information about K2 and whether it's a coagulant or not. Even articles about K2 when coagulant properties are discussed just say vitamin K. However, IF K2 is not a coagulant it doesn't mean that it is an anti-coagulant or thins the blood like warfarin and coumadin do.

I take K2 with my calcium to help keep the calcium away from the heart. it is not s blood thinner by any means. K1 is used as a coagulant, not K2. Small doeses of K1 are always included in a one a day multi vitamin supplement.

This is my second winter taking phytoceramides to help my dry skin in PA. I take 2 capsules totaling 700mg. I no longer have dry & bleeding cracks in my fingers, itchy and scaly lower legs plus the hard callouses to the sides of my big toes has markedly decreased. I will need to try the EarthMed brand he next time I need a refill. I can't imagine not taking it in the future in the

I noticed a difference in that I don't feel I need moisturizer after I shower now.
The biggest difference is my eyes. I rarely use eye drops anymore since taking Andrew LEssman's Phytoceramides a few years ago.

I already mentioned using lotion after his showers and we even talked about CreaVe or Cetaphil, but I haven't seen either of them show up on his counter. It's probably not manly to be slathering on lotion.
He tried the arnica creams for his bruising and didn't have much luck with them. I did mention that my plastic surgeon had me taking arnica, bromelain (inflammation), and one other supplement before I had some lipo done, but I rather doubt he will bother trying that either.
For him, it's just an aging thing. He's 72 and is on absolutely no prescriptions whatsoever. He has, for some reason, been taking K2 supplements and I have yet to really figure out why. It was being hawked at Costco as some sort of heart health supplement I think. I take it with my calcium and magnesium, but he doesn't take those.
I was thinking about the phytoceramides for me thinking they might help with my dry nasal passages during the winter. I looked at EFA's, but I didn't notice any change in my skin when I was taking krill oil and also didn't see the cholesterol benefit, so I quit taking that.
As I understand it vitamin K2 can cause the blood to thin, so that might explain some of this. When my DH took a similar product, he kept getting nosebleeds. When he made that connection, he stopped taking it.
Cinnamon and turmeric supps also have anticoagulant properties.
Thanks, I'll mention it to him, but I know the problems started before he started taking the K2. Odd that K2 would be an anticoagulant when Vitamin K helps with blood clotting. That was actually the reason I was hesitant to take vitamin K2 because I have a genetic predisposition to clot more than the average person.
Here's the WebMD article about Vitamin K 1 and 2. Let's just let the professionals have the final word on it.
