I never felt that way at Bergdorfs. The sales people were unfailingly polite and helpful and I didn't walk in wearing Chanel and carrying a Birkin bag.

You're sooo right, adelle38! I remember years ago going to Henri Bendel's for a make-up. I had just gotten divorced and it was a family-member's treat. The lady at HB called Bergdorfs and got me an app't right away. Best cut/color/style I ever got. And everyone there was very nice - in a kind, sincere way! Wish those two stores were located in MA. Oh well! ${#emotions_dlg.wub}$

I shop at BG, and I am too old to let pretentious little salesclerks bother me. The store does not have the elan it used to, but I do remember seeing Greta Garbo there several years ago. I can recall needing a special dress for a Royal Shakespeare Company event, and I found a Pauline Trigere LBD - which I still have - at Bergdorf's. It was and is stunning.

You and me both, SeaGal! I like to think that even if I could afford a place like that, I wouldn't be interested. I truly avoid stores and restaurants that thrive on shaming people who they think don't belong...or on making them uncomfortable. JMO

Oooh, this sounds like a fun movie to watch. Thanks for the info! I just checked out the preview they had featured on Amazon. If I'm stuck inside tomorrow due to the snow storm that's heading our way, the instant video will be perfect.

I'm not trying to start any negativity against Lisa....but I thought I read somewhere that one reason she was leaving was because of being fearful from being stalked.

I'll just go with that was incorrect since she is still telling everyone what she is doing ?
