@Goodie2shoes - after reading your post I had to go count my lipsticks and glosses. I have 46 between the two. Was tempted yesterday to add to my collection but didn't.

I have many lipsticks that I am using in rotation. I'll say at least 12.

I have about that many waiting in the wings.
I have a stash of Cliniques black honey at least 4, because they seem to "discontinue" it, and I fall for it.

I also have the Givenchy black magic at least 4 unopened as well.

IT and Tarte are among the stash as well.

I always discard older lipsticks...they get a funny smell and waxy taste, and should not be used.

The only one I could not part with is Makeup Forevers No. Nine, which is discontinued. I may have this one matched because it is the perfect not quite red, red.

As I gotten older I just don't like to emphasize my lips but want a natural looking lip.Doing channel surfing one morning on HSN was Skip from Perlier showing a trio of Black Rice Lip Balms.Heard Skip mention this is his teenage daughter favorite to Amanda his mother favorite . Just a natural glow it gives your lips with not being sticky , or greasy looking ,you can even put over your favorite lipstick for extra glow .I find myself putting it on also before going to bed,wake up and lips are so hydrated.So glad it was a trio and a sale price cause went back recently thinking I would gift some for the holidays and sold out,I will not part with mine so hoping they will be back in stock .

Oh fun! I'll count them later but the last time I counted, it was roughly,iirc, 80. But, I didn't count the ones that are in the closet as backups. Plus I recently added 3 CP lip crayons. I love lippies

It's nice to be here with you ladies. I'm at my desk so I can't stay too long. Ins is still working on getting me approved for PT for my sciatica. It's a good thing this ailment isn't life-threatening. I'd be dead by now Ice and a straight back chair works wonders.

I understand the struggle! I looked high and low for backup and new lip glosses and tints yesterday. Nothing I wanted was on sale. Plus pink doesn't seem to be a popular color and I won't wear "nudes"/browns. I do like golds but it as to be somewat sheer and have pink reflects.

After my recent hospitalization I made the decision when I got home to simplify my life. I went through all my makeup and chose the three shades of lipstick I loved best. I purchased duplicates for my purse and the other 8 shades I tossed. Quite freeing. 💕 Less to store, less to worry about.

I have 3 lipsticks, one gloss, and one lip pencil that is nearly a perfect match to my natural lip color. I'm fairly minimal when it comes to makeup so I don't have a lot of stuff.

@monicakm - I love lippies too. When I was a young, struggling, single mom, if I wanted to treat myself to something, a new lippie - drugstore - always perked up my mood. Couldn't do it very often but I would when finances allowed. I always have a lippie on even on days like today when I don't have any makeup on and I'm just at home, I'll have a lippie on! Have so many I kind of feel I have to. Some days I'll wear one shade in the morning and after lunch I'll put a different shade on.
