I doubt it will go away  but it may get reformulated  or changed in some way to make it more safe to those that  are  having issues with it

http://stylenews.peoplestylewatch.com/2015/12/15/chaz-dean-wen-hair-care-sued-for-severe-hair-loss/?...

interesting comments from an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology ....such as

"....In the grand scheme of things, 200 people is not that many. If you look at how many product sales that they probably have, I suspect it’s just a drop in the bucket,” she said. “I really think what they’re going to find is just a vast majority of these are coincidence and mainly caused by hair loss that’s unrelated to the product.”

and "...here were pictures of women who have typical female pattern hair loss. There were also pictures of people with alopecia areata, which is an autoimmune form of hair loss.”

and "There would have to be some sort of link between one or more of the ingredients in particular. We don’t know this for sure, but most of the products listed are generally-accepted safe. Most are just standard ingredients,” she explains. “There are a lot of natural ingredients and so, is there a chance that someone could develop a contact dermatitis to one of the plant-based products? Possible.”

I have been using Wen for about 4 years and am losing my hair as well - i have lost half the volume of my hair and have balding spots - it's depressing to think i was spending this much money on what i thought was the best hair cleanser i could buy to help myself and then find out that is what is causing it.  I think Chaz Dean should step up and at least say he's going to look into the 200+ complaints, all from women with the same problem, all whom use Wen instead of saying people lose their hair for many reasons and that he's going to fight it.  But that's just my opinion - we are all entitled to our own.  I am hoping it is discontinued but even if it isn't i won't ever use it again.  And good luck to the ladies who have only been using it for about a year - you won't notice the thinning right away until it's obviously too late.  Merry Christmas.

Just wanted to add my experience.  I've been an advid WEN user for many years.  Deal with seborheac dermatitis flare-ups on my scalp at times so always used the Tea Tree.  Following some surgery two years ago, I had normal hair loss, but all returned.  I have always had extremely thick hair.  About 6 months ago, started seeing significant hair loss...hair loss in the shower drain, hair brushes, visually sparse on top.  After reading here about the lawsuits, I have switched my shampoo.  After just a few weeks of use, my daughter (also my hair stylist) can see new hair growth and I also am noticing it filling in on my scalp.  I'm thinking it is definitely WEN related as I haven't changed medication or supplements.  Anyone want a gallon of Tea Tree?

@Blk&GoldFan   Yes, a gallon would nice to have.

Can you tell me what kind of doctor or dermatologist you went to?   What tests were done?  If you've been using Wen for 4 years, it must have been fine for ... what? .... three years, and suddenly your hair started falling out?

Just to be clear, I don't dispute what you're claiming ... I just wonder why you were fine for (I'm guessing) three years, and then suddenly hair started falling out?

Did a dermatologist rule out all other possible causes for your hair loss?

@Tinkrbl44, my thoughts exactly.

Why would Wen be discontinued? Some people are deathly allergic to peanuts but peanut farmers aren't prohibited from growing peanuts and peanuts and products containing peanuts haven't been banned or pulled off the market.

☀️...And I think to myself what a Wenderful world.☀️

There are copy cats out there now.

So if Wen is causing problems, so are they. And no one is claiming anything on them.

Other products with the same ingrediants and no one is claiming anything there either.

There are times I think we can all say our hair started to thin, or we started loosing more than normal. And we start trying to find answers.

Its normal. And we all start looking at why.. And the first thing we ALL do is try another hair care product.

So.. 200 women in this lawsuit..

Millions of bottles sold.. Its not unusal they are all using wen.. Thousands of women are.

Sounds like a very good track record. Most companies have many more complaints than that!

I would like a offical statement on QVC.. I think it would help.

I don't want them to stop selling Wen.. And if people are going to stop buying it.. Then it might only be on his web site.. And that costs more..

Re: If Wen is discontinued due to the current lawsuit, what are we going to use now!

If anyone is looking for a substitute for WEN, I highly recommend Matrix Biologue Cleansing Conditioner. There are 4 varieties. I've been using the one for curly hair since the end of February or so and this stuff is awesone on my fine, curly, color treated hair. I've had none of the hair fallout/scalp irritation that I had with WEN. The product comes in several sizes and the large container is a lot cheaper than WEN, I use less, it creams or suds up better and it rinses out cleaner than WEN (I always finish with a cold rinse-as I have with every CC/shampoo/conditioner). Plus my hair is looking very healthy and I've actually had less hair fall out using this product than I've had in a long time. I highly recommend giving it a try.

QVC lost a lot of my posts too!
