That darn car rear view mirror is the bane of my existence. It seems to find glitter in products that I swear wasn't there to begin with. {#emotions_dlg.scared}{#emotions_dlg.lol}

So true!!!

O/T, but just wanted to say that you are a good egg, serenity. Wink

Thank you, suzy, that means a great deal to me coming from you. Posting in Viewpoints can be difficult and I haven't seen you around over there lately. You are missed....

I don't understand the presentation with the older lady she asks to smile and then shows us her crows feet and claims that the product covers up or blurs her wrinkles. Call me crazy but her wrinkles are still there and looks the same whether she is smiling or relaxing. Not that I care she has wrinkles but I just don't get that demo at all.That foundation does not make wrinkles disappear.

But anyway, I thought the title of this post was funny- as soon as I read it, I knew it was about that foundation. {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

I thought the same thing.

During that particular part of the demo that Jamie is not claiming the foundation will cover or blur away wrinkles. Rather, she showing that it won't crack or crease because it melds into the skin.

sorry but I've heard her numerous times say what I posted, in addition to what you stated. And how does she claim it doesn't crack or crease when she is showing wrinkles which, well, basically are creases and they are already there? This is a rhetorical question, by the way. My point being it really is not a good demo overall since it really doesn't show that the foundation does or doesn't do anything.

Re: I am NOT Celebrating ....

Too funny, the title and on that dreaded rear view mirror. By the way, I tried it too and I am not celebrating either. It is not as bad as a MAC beauty powder I tried once, put it on to try on a nice hot summer day. It look flawless in the house. I looked it the rear view mirror and my face looked like it was a melting candle!

LOL, I am such a sucker, always looking for that miracle that never happens!

Re: I am NOT Celebrating ....

OP, I know these MU tips have been mentioned above, but I thought I might repeat it.

I'm 63 so we're in the same age range. Now, I have combo/oily skin and I don't recall if you mentioned that.

I use the Celebration Foundation - the original, not the one with illumination (Jan TSV). but I have 3 tricks that I believe leave me with an air-brushed dewy look.

1. I use a primer. Jamie's #50 or MAKE UP FOREVER primer. I also add a mattifying gel to my T-zone.

2. After applying all my MU I use a kabuki brush and high def invisible finishing power (MAKE UP FOREVER). It leaves an air-brushed effect. I might go back and add a dab more blusher.

3. I spray my face with a facial mist. Some people use rosewater. Because I'm oily I use a spray from Urban Decay. LG makes a spray. It leaves a dewy finish and fixes your MU.

My MU used to melt away in 2-3 hours. Now I'm good for 18 hours; these are the days I'm the Judge of Elections on our local Board. Whew! A loooong day.

Re: I am NOT Celebrating ....

Cute thread title! Sorry you are n0t liking it....are you using a primer first? I use the IT #50? I think it is called, I let it set up and dry...then apply. At first I had some coverage issues....but I think that is because the light/med is a bit too light for me. I get better coverage with the med. I have found this to be the best powder foundation I have ever used.

I wish she offered more color options....TBH the med is not a perfect match either...but better coverage for me and overall look.

Are you using the original celebration or the new version?

Re: I am NOT Celebrating ....

I purchased it a while back and returned it within a week.

I wanted to love it as much as everyone else, but I found there to be no coverage on my fair complexion. I don't even need that much coverage, but that provided nothing for me.

Sorry it didn't work for you either!

Re: I am NOT Celebrating ....

I was really excited when this was first launched. I bought it right away and really wanted it to work. It didn't work for me. The coverage just wasn't there plus mine kept getting the film on it. I returned mine. I do love her bye bye under eye concealer! I buy it in the supersize and use it as my all over foundation.
