my new Celebration Foundation. I can't believe I fell for the presentation. It's just another powder and being in my 60's that doesn't work for me. I don't know how they do it when they show how well it covers imperfections but mine doesn't do that. I do like the brush. I'm not sending it back --- to much trouble.

Send it back. Then they will know it didn't work for you. After age 60, all those demos don't do anything for our skin. The best foundation I have found Is Loreal in the lotion formula.. After years of using Bare Minerals, I found it gets into lines now. Loreal is flawless on me. I was blessed with good skin but lines are coming in. No more expensive stuff. It's around 10.00.

You only use a small amount and blend with a sponge!

I think studio lighting plays a big factor in how makeup looks, especially powder. I also think the makeup artist apply much more than we would wear and use techniques me may not know.

I'm not sure what you mean by "imperfections". I'm not quite in my 60's yet, but close, and do use the Celebration Foundation. The CF covers broken capillaries and hyperpigmentation kinds of things, but any powder type foundation won't do a thing to hide texture type issues - they get accentuated with powder. Also, you don't need a lot on the brush and you need to buff it in well.

I don't use Celebration, I use BE, but in theory this technique should work for you. Cover the age spots or whatever you call imperfections with an eye shadow brush. You will get concentrated coverage. Then use your regular foundation brush to apply to the entire face.

When they do those TV demos I always think they look great too. Then, it dawns on me that those models are just standing there motionless. I wonder what they look like after they smile and laugh a few times and put cracks in that stuff!

Re: I am NOT Celebrating ....

Your post takes me by surprise. I love the Celebration Foundation. I have a lot of red splotchiness on my cheeks (broken capillaries) as well as a few brown spots and this has taken the place of using 3 products, namely concealer, foundation, then powder. Occasionally I use the sponge (it's sort of hidden under the foundation) but use the brush 99% of the time and it does a quick and fine job of concealing it all saving me time, and I'm no spring chicken yet it doesn't settle into nor emphasize any fine lines. For one particularly reddish splotch I sometimes need to swipe the the edge of the brush (or my fingertip) back into the foundation and just dab that spot again and I'm good to go! I've ordered an extra to keep on hand because I never want to run out.

Thanks - JeanLouiseFinch, by imperfections I mean age spots, etc., nothing major. I do use just a little and buff. I have previously used Bare Minerals so I am familiar with buffing.

My all time fav is Estee Lauder double wear. Guess I should stick with that. I do like the It Cosmetics Anti-Aging Full Coverage Physical SPF50 CC Cream .

I just started using the CC cream and I like it, too!
