Thank you for your pngoing comments. I truly appreciate your input and personal experience with RHA.
Interesting about the numbing cream/potential slip that may occur. I recall the cream being wiped off and rubbing alcohol being used, if not totally to wipe the cream off, definitely with the final wipes prior to starting the injection procedure. I will certainly address this with my Aesthetician on Tuesday. I could likely go without the numbing cream. The process is so short and once injected, there was no residual discomfort, yet I was numb. So I'll evaluate a decision after we speak. Plus I'm not fond of the feeling as that cream wears off at all. Stay tuned!

Hi! I know everyone's busy with Thanksgiving prep etc. I'm taking a short break from the kitchen myself but wanted to tell you to check out PLO, a treatment that can be used for the chin and neck (and more) which you'd mentioned as an area of contention. My Sister had this procedure done yesterday at our appt with the Aesthetician. Her marionette lines were treated. I have lots to tell and will be back to share when I have more time. This was so cool and interesting that I just had to mention it .
Hope you and yours have a fabulous Thanksgiving!
Back to the kitchen for me and Sis. Up to our eyeballs making delicious sides to take to her son's house tomorrow. GobbleGobbleGobble ๐ฆ๐ฅง๐ฅ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฆ๐

Ok, @rochelleS let me know what she says. I don't know but have always had a better result with a "dry lip". I think I mentioned "prickers" before and I believe it's the cause. I really do. I like it plain. It kind of makes sense when one thinks about it.
I took my lipstick off, you will see a bit of outline on top of MAC lipliner in "boldly bare. It can help enhance your lips a bit if they didn't get it exact. Let me see if I can upload the picture.
Yes It's kind of messy lipstick while rubbing off but you get the top. Avoid the sides and bottom![]()

You look really great @rochelleS! Congratulations!
I think even your chin and neck look a little more picked up. I noticed because that is an area of concern to me.
Hope you don't mind my asking, do you think that was the result of the Botox injected in the cheek muscle to lift the corners of your mouth, or was it something else? Maybe just your smile? Your eyes give away your smile!
BTW, I don't think you look angry in the before, you look good there too, but I do think I need to do something to pick up my cheeks and neck, so interested in ideas.
TIA, and congratulations again!
Thank you so much for your kind words. Much appreciated!
No worries, feel free, you can ask me anything.
There was no change on my chin and neck from my lip injections. I believe it was just how I was holding my head and the way the photo was taken. Just a good and lucky shot. Most of my selfies look like I have a walrus neck, lol.
The botox injection will help to relax the downward turn of the corners of the mouth. Another facial change that occurs for most as we age.
Take a look at Kybella for the neck (Google, utube etc) My sister had this done and her double plus+++ chin and excess neck fat is gone. And she has struggled with weight for years
It does take awhile for the total effect/results to kick in but it works and her neck area looks fabulous. Truly!
Low thyroid has added extra lbs so I won't explore this or any other non surgical modality until my body gets regulated. Hopefully when my metabolism restarts and this weight comes down my nasal labial and marionette lines will soften too. We shall see. There's always a plan B.
Any more questions? Feel free. I'll answer whatever I can.
Please speak to a derm or cosmetic surgeon regarding facial procedures. My late father was a surgeon and said avoid aesthticians. They have nowhere near
the knowledge and education of a board certified doctor.
The statement above regarding Botox in the cheek area helping lift drooping
mouth corners is totally uncessasary and extra cost. A tiny amount of filler by
mouth corners will fix it completely.
Check with a board certified doctor. You don't want to spend on unnecessary
procedures.
The filler my cosmetic surgeon used to lift the corners of my mouth and lift mouth
to chin lines worked beautifully. Yes a few pricks. No big deal. Healed insantly.

Hey @rochelleS How are your lips loooking? I'll bet great!
I went to a different place yesterday to straighten out that pesky upper lip (from car accident years ago) I was not happy last time
so I decided to try a 5 star review place in my town.
We were chatting and told her I was a bruiser before I started.
This has never happpened to me (no numbing once again) before, but she pushed the chair/bed down quite far. She said the needle comes in at a better angle to avoid horrib;e bruising. She used 2 different kinds of needles depending on where she was going on lip area. It did not hurt at all.
She is conservsative, used RHA. No more than 1 syringe at a time. I did get a bruise on my lower (hard not to hit veins in lips) but makeup can cover it when I go out tomorrow night. The 3rd day is the wors't for bruises to fully come out.
We shall see. I do like her and said please come back for a consult in 3 weeks to see if the problem was corrected. fingers crossed.

@rochelleS has been missing for about a month now. I've been looking for her posts but so far none. Hope she is okay.

How much do the RHA lip injections cost?
How long do the effects last?
