My reaction exactly.
First, talking constantly in front of patrons unfamiliar with the language is rude and would and did send me shopping for another shop. The woman who had done my hair (and did it very well) started this. She was constantly on the phone with family in Viet Nam and used only their language. I understand that their time zone is far different from mine, but she had a sign on her station that patrons were sked to turn off their phone. Yet she tried to do my hair with a phone in one hand and a brush (or whatever) in the other. I spoke to her nicely about it, but nothing changed. Finally I changed.
But if someone was watching Porn there, that's a different problem. I would have left immediaately and phoned the local police. The man was breaking the law in the clear presence of customers. No excuse.

Viewing porn is not against the law unless its child porn.

I do not think that it is rude for a salon full of Asian nail techs to speak their own language. It would not bother me in the least.
As for the porn, I would have probably ignored it and laughed about that night with my husband. If this was truly "porn," and he was either an employee or owner, it's very unprofessional but NOT ILLEGAL.
If I thought i had received a good mani/ped, I would return without any hesitation.

If you go somewhere and feel uncomfortable, simply do not go back.
If you liked the mani/pedi better than what you are used to, make a determination if it is more important to have a better mani pedi than to have a conversation with you.
Go with a friend and both of you can get a mani pedi and talk to each other.
Geez...be happy that you can afford to get a mani/pedi. Too many women don't have the luxuary.
You sound more like a drama queen!

How would I react? If I felt uncomfortable and didn't enjoy myself, I wouldn't go back. Fairly simple.

HappyDaze summed it up very well.
The places I've gone they usually speak broken English and do attempt to make conversation, but do talk to each other in their own language. I don't care if they don't talk to me. But I gotta say, the porn would've been the dealbreaker for me. Pretty sad if he can't make it through a day at work without looking at porn.

Yes, this happens more often than one might think. Three men have been fired at the company I worked for because they were watching porn at work. A few of them were very high level managers. At least one was warned once before when a female worker saw it and yet he continued to do so and got caught again and subsequently fired. It can become an addiction and they are like any other addict.

I once worked with a girl whose DH kept losing his jobs, and he was a nuclear physicist. Anyway, she came to learn he was watching porn at work and would get caught. She divorced him.

I wish I could do my own toes! I have serious back issues and can't bend over enough to do my own. That leaves me with a local salon or my DH. I LOVE my salon!! HA!HA! I go to a very clean place owned by a lovely Vietnamese woman. They speak english (not the greatest), and some of their home language.
