Re: Has Your Beauty Routine Changed Since the Pandemic? How?

I've had time to "up" my skincare and do peels that leave my skin red and flakey for several days, but knew I was staying home. I've been diligent about my Vit.C and SPF even at home to protect from all the sun coming in through my windows and I'm using more moisturizer.

Makeup? After skincare, if staying home, I skip the tinted moisturizer and just use a tinted sunscreen to add a bit of color, cream blush and lip balm...no eye makeup unless going out....then shadow, liner between lashes, mascara and brow gel. Of course, when working, I do a "full face".

@Shanus , would you mind sharing the SPF and tinted SPF you use?  I'm looking for ones that won't affect makeup application if I decide later in the day to go out and put on a bit of foundation.  Nearly every tinted moisturizer or SPF I've tried is too dark on my light toned skin.

Thanks for your continued help!

@Sammijo10   Skinceuticals Sheer Physical UV Defense sheer and the same one comes in tinted (one shade...barely any color).

Re: Has Your Beauty Routine Changed Since the Pandemic? How?

I am using way less foundation, concealer and lipstick and gloss. Less foundation and concealer because I am not as stressed and get more sleep not having to go into work. And I also was much more diligent in my skincare routine because of more time so my skin needs less MU. Rarely wore a mask as well as I was not out much at all. Vaccinated and ready to meet the world again soon Smiley Happy

I miss my lipstick.  Even though I can wear it at home and in the car, it's not the same.  Hopefully, we will all be free of the masks before you know it.

No, nothing has changed for me concerning my beauty routine. I still do my makeup exactly as before. I do it for me.

I'm using less foundation and I don't wear blush or lippies these days either. I've learned how to cut my own hair and so far it looks pretty good. I may not have to go back to a salon for a haircut for a very long time.

I retired before the pandemic hit so I was already wearing less makeup. I don't wear makeup around the house. When I go out I still do my eye makeup the same way as before. I use a tinted moisturizer and lip balm, but no concealer, blush, or lip color since my face is mostly covered. My skin care routine hasn't changed at all.

My skincare routine has not changed at all.  My makeup routine has. For the 9 months I was furloughed from my job I hardly wore any makeup at all.  When I returned to work I just basically focus on the eye area since can't see behind the mask.

Re: Has Your Beauty Routine Changed Since the Pandemic? How?

Nothing has really changed for me.  I've had to work in office throughout the entire pandemic.  I've taken care of my skin the same way and wear the same amount of make-up.

I guess the only minor change is, if I'm walking out the door to go grocery shopping or somewhere inside, I no longer put lipstick on because I know I'm going to have to wear a mask.
