Hi Everybody!
Hope you are healthy and safe. As the title states, I was thinking just now about how my own routines have changed since the pandemic.
I think the biggest change has been how much more time I put into my skin care. I started using the Lancer Method. And now it's my new routine along with Josie Maran.
I did use the Lancer Polish alone for a few months. I had a sample of it and bought the full size. I wasn't using the the Cleanse or the Nourish. Too expense to just try. But then the recent TSV.... I got it on A-D.
I was pleasantly surprised. I really like the cleanser, too. The moisturizer is just ok. I don't think I will buy that again. I try to use it up but it seems to give me little bumps on my decollete.
Anyways, I have had great results from the Polish and Cleanse. After that, I use the Josie Argan Milk, rotate the serum trio and finish with the special reserve argon oil.
My skin has been looking great. Two hyper pigment spots seems to be all but gone! I also use Grande Lash Brow Serum once a day. If you are looking for a lash or brow serum, I recommend it. It is pricey, but I will say, I have used the brow or lash serum on both brows and lashes Check the ingredients. I don't think there is a big difference. I see no reason to use both.
Where as I am spending more time on skin care, I spend less the time on make up. My skin has been doing so good... My regular day look consists of the Hourglass primer for SPF, Tatcha Pearl Under Eye Cream, Dior Blush and Dior lip oil. It's so freeing! NO MASCARA!! I never thought I'd see the day.
No mascara is probably the biggest thing for me... so great! Washing make up off at night is soooo much easier. It's actually a breeze and I look forward to the night routine. Which dependis on if I used the Polilsh or not that day (I only do the Polish every other day). I try not to mix the Polish with any other exfoliating or retinol products (the pink algae or blue resurfacing by Josie Maran oil or Lancer Vitamin C & Retinol treatment).
At night I either use one of those treatments or just the Argon Milk and Special Reserve Argon Oil. See how the Lancer Nourish just doesn't have a place? haha.
My nails also different! My finger nails are not painted 24/7 as they used to be. Now I keep them short & the whites are super white on their own. I just file them and put on cuticle cream.
My toenails.... Those I do keep painted. I don't like the look of my toes unpainted. I've dropped one too many suitcases on them and the spots I suspect are permanent. Considering I haven't had a suitcase out in A YEAR! Unfortunately, they look awful with out polish!
How about you? What has changed? Do you think you will go back when we do? I hope to maybe wear a dramatic lip, but keep the mascara out of the routine. Just be more natural.
Thanks for reading!!! I look forward to hearing what you do!

My foundation had excellent antiaging from Bobbi Brown. I lost that.
My lipstick was moisturizing, but I haven't had an issue-yet!
I do use a good anti ageing moisturizing cream.

It seems a lot of people's skincare (including my own) has improved since the pandemic. As far as makeup, my routine hasn't changed. I don't work. I wear very little makeup when I stay home BUT because I miss wearing it, because I'm not out and about as much, I do wear a bit more at home. So I guess my routine has changed. I still wear sparkly lipgloss when I go out
Our Governor has lifted the mask mandate (smh) I will continue to wear it.

I've been using a lot more skin care. Was never a big makeup wearer but did wear some.

I didn't do a whole lot before and I do less now. I moisturize. Every now and then I think to exfoliate and put on a mask.
No regular makeup now. When I have a zoom or something, I use my brow pencil and put on lipstick. Maybe a bit of eyeliner and/or shadow. Not often.
I just bought Clinique's new moisture surge supertint SPF 25. A single product with a little hydration, a little SPF, a little tint--sounds too good to be true. And with only one product on my face, I can reapply whenever I want.
I discovered and love Supersmile toothpaste AM and PM. I guess that's part of my beauty routine, yes?
You know what I can't seem to take care of well enough? My hands and nails. I try to wear gloves when cleaning or dishwashing, and I use hand cream, but it's never enough. The nails are nice and healthy, but the cuticles are hard and dry, and the skin on the backs of my hands is looking not so great. Sometimes my fingertips are so smooth I have to wet them to use my phone. What's that about? Hand creams are rather expensive and really, they don't help all that much.
I guess if that's my biggest problem, I have no complaints!

No change...

My skin care routine has not changed, but I haven't worn a speck of makeup since Feb 2020.

The biggest change for me is lack of make-up. Even though I go into the office a couple of days a week, I am still only wearing moisturizer with SPF and eyeliner. My skin care routine hasn't changed much. I am using facial masks more often b/c I have more time on my hands on the weekends.

Still using many of the same products: Lumene Glow Reveal moisturizer, Lumene CC cream, Burt's Bees lip balm, Maybelline Full 'N Soft mascara.
Because of the mask, I've modified a couple things: I've stopped wearing blush and tinted lip balm. Just the clear stuff for now.
Still using eyeshadow in neutral shades, but have recently been experimenting with shadow to line my eyes instead of eye pencil.
The biggest change has probably been giving up Paula's Choice facial cleanser (no, she still makes an excellent product) and adopting Dr. Bronner's unscented Pure-Castile liquid soap for my face. It gets the makeup off -- fast.

The only change is, I've been forced into trimming my own hair. By all this time, I do a decent job, but I would rather go to a professional.
