They are advertising the Hairmax Pro 12 product. The before and after photos show a disclaimer underneath that says "photos are from using a different product, Hairmax 9." I would consider that false advertising if they aren't showing results from the product they are advertising.

I agree! I bought it two years ago and it did nothing. I wound up using Rogaine which worked very well. My hair got so thick again. But Rogaine is a pain. it needs to be used every day and it makes your hair greasy and dirty looking. I had to wash it every day.

The Hairmax 9 and Hairmax 12 use the same technology. It's just that the 12 has more lasers than the 9 does, so it's an upgraded product. I wouldn't really call that false advertising.

It's not false when they are telling you.

I feel that if a company is advertising something and they are using "before and after" photos then the photos should be the results of the product they are advertising. I don't care how close a similar product is. To me that's false advertising. Just my opinion.

The Hairmax 9 was the first one and that is the one that has years of use by so many and the one I have used for about 7 years with great results. The 9 just has 3 more rows but is the exact same technology in how it works. Using op's logic then reviews for body lotion could not be used when selling a new larger size jar even though the lotion is the same and a review for say a snicker's candy bar would be false advertising because reviews are for the varying sizes and ot the specific size in an add!!!

It's not false advertising! It's the same technology only there are more lasers, so it will take less time to use. And the Hairmax does work if you are consistent and have the kind of hair loss they talk about in the presentations. @SilleeMee @Pook and I can attest to how well this technology works. If you do a search on the forums for Hairmax, you will see before/after photos I've posted several times on the different Hairmax threads. @Pook ...really liked your comparison with the lotion and other things--good point!

Here is what is puzzling to me, Hairmax has 12 lasers, Capillus cap has 202, how could one compare to the other ??

@Shelbelle Both the Hairmax 9 and Hairmax 12 are older hand-held models. They have subsequently come out with at least two hairband models and a cap model that is much more similar to the Capillus. Even Capillus has more than one model with differing numbers of lasers.
Going back to the previous poster's lotion example. Some people want a small tube and some want the jumbo pump bottle. The pump bottle is going to cost more than the tube, but it'll last a lot longer than the tube. Now, maybe the jumbo pump bottle doesn't fit where you want to store it, so you go for the smaller flip-top bottle. The comb model is cheaper, but it requires you to move it around to the different areas of the head while the cap model allows hands-free operation. The headband model mostly allows hands-free except every couple of minutes you have to move it to a new position until you're done, but it's significantly cheaper.

The comparison would be seen in the results and also in the length of time it took to get them. It basically comes down to the concept of 'more is better' in hair growth laser devices. More lasers means more area is treated on the scalp at the same time so you may be looking at new growth sooner than with a device with less lasers on it.
Also keep in mind that not all of your hair follicles are in the same growth cycle at any moment in time. They vary so that means visible growth will vary.
