Is anyone ordering today's Glo Pro micro needling tool?

The GP tool is an designed to exfoliate the skin and create small holes just on the surface of the skin. This is suppose to help your products absorb better. Just having your products absorb better is an advantage in itself, regardless of how they get there. The GP tool is just one way this can be achieved, as you probably already know there are other ways to exfoliate. This is just one. 

The GP tool is not a collagen-inducing device because the needles on it are not long enough to reach deep inside the skin where collagen formation occurs. You need a tool with at least 0.5mm needle length. GP is not that long. @San Antonio Gal

@San Antonio Gal @SilleeMee   May I weigh in here? Home devices can’t chance injury to the skin. They never perform the same as professional equipment. Price? When I get a facial every few months, she has an “add on” of micro-needling for $35. The TSV was $149 + tax/shipping.

@wagirl   If you do a thorough job of cleansing your face, facials more than once a quarter (how I time it) is enough. She tells me really most clients come twice a year. I’ve never had micro-needling. I have done peels (not deep ones) to remove surface debris.

In the fall/winter, I’m thinking of doing a laser treatment to zap some pre-cancerous raised red spots on my chest & shoulders...better safe than sorry and non-ablative laser on face and neck. That will zap the last few brown spots and encourage collagen production. I don’t need it all over, but derm said because I’m so fair, there’s a higher chance of leaving hyperpigmention. So full face it is. My derm won’t do it in the summer because any sun exposure can cause scarring. 

I’ll keep ya’ll posted.

I buy Skinmedix (stainless steel) rollers in the 0.5mm size. I have been needling for collagen induction for many years. 

In case you are wondering about steel vs titanium...

Steel is a better choice than titanium because of several factors, one being that it is more sanitary. Another reason is that the needles are more resistant to corrosion which means longer life. When it comes to microneedling, hygiene is the utmost important thing to consider when doing it.

My opinion:

Just the idea of poking holes in my skin is repulsive!   You're just exposing yourself to all sorts of other issues.

And, then rubbing some sort of lotion (containing all sorts of substances) into your "damaged" skin?

It's just asking for trouble.
