@Mersha Count me as one of those ladies who decided to go gray. Premature gray hair ran on my mother's side, which I inherited. From age 25 to 61, I had my hair colored dark brown, then auburn as I got older. At 61, my natural roots were white and these roots were showing just two weeks after getting my hair colored, which was monthly. It was March 2020, the beginning of the pandemic, and with salons closed along with working from home, I decided to go natural. The photo below was taken in October 2020 (still look the same now, except my hair is a little longer).
Like many have said here, it's a matter of personal preference. For me, it was a very good decision as well as a practical one as my hair became increasingly resistant to hair color. The stigma of a woman with gray hair is no longer IMO especially with all the great hair care products and hairstyles available. Do what you feel is best for you!

Then the "Carol Burnett Show" they depicted aging by putting her in gray wigs. That did it for me. Even Vicki Lawrence looked years older in skits playing that character on "Mama's Family."
@Trinity11 Gen X and Gen Z are paying big bucks to have their hair dyed grey, if you dress and act young its not aging. I personally think dark hair past 70 looks like people are trying to hard to hold on to something and they are just tricking themselves

Many people 70 and older that color their hair look great @I am still oxox . I don't think once you turn 70, you need to go grey.

@San Antonio Gal I think a 75 with pitch black hair looks well just silly, IMO of course

@I am still oxox I decided to go gray myself at around age 60...but if someone wants to keep coloring, and it makes them feel prettier and more confident I say "go for it"!
