I am having trouble plucking my eyebrows now that my vision is not what it used to be. Does anyone else have that problem and what do you do about it? I have had cataract surgery and do not wear glasses.

Do you have a magnifying mirror?

@KatieB Most females in my neck of the woods go to their local/neighborhood barber shop to have their eyebrows plucked & shaped. From my understanding the barbers have eyebrow stencils & do a fast & fantastic job.

I bought this set of three magnified mirrors for $10 on Amazon. I got them just to do my brows. These have very good optics. Makes things easy to see. I find it better to not wear my glasses when I use these. Seems my glasses make it blurry for some reason.

@KatieB - @SilleeMee @Mz iMac @Desertdi before me had good ideas depending upon your preference of having them done or doing them yourself. I have another option combining both: Have your brows professionally done then keep them up using a great magnifying mirror and good tweezers! That might be a good base so you can see how they should look, and what needs to be plucked out, when they grow back in.
Once they are professionally done, keeping on top of them becomes an easy routine with great results. I find using a magnifying mirror with the light on, in a room with good natural lighting, is my preference. Light coming in from different angles, or sitting in front of a window, helps to locate those little ones that hide. They are those blonde little hairs that you have trouble seeing but that snag shadow easily.
Another thing I always do is keep up with hair anywhere. I just look at brows as another thing to do on a continuing basis so they are always groomed and in good shape. I like doing things a little at a time, even around the house and yard, so this way everything is always neat/organized without a large amount of work any one day.
Good luck!

@KatieB As someone who wears glasses, I have a small magnifying mirror that sticks onto my medicine cabinet mirror in my bathroom. It's portable and small, and it works great. I don't pluck my brows that often, but when I do, it works great. It's also good for putting on, and looking at your makeup. I just recently went on a 2 day trip and took it with me because it will stick to any mirror and easy to pack.

???? A barber? As in an old fashion barber shop with a male barber? NO WAY!! What does a man know about shaping brows????
Today, there are brow bars for this. Females who have been trained and know how to shape brows to flatter your face shape.
Anastasia is one example but there are others.

@SilleeMee for showing those Amazon trio travel mirrors. I not only purchased for myself but also for daughter & daughter in laws.
Great size for travel as we all do.

About as much as a PROFESSIONAL & non-professional male make-up artist does.

@ahoymate Yes, old school barber shops. Since the 21st century & prior in some hoods, barbers are graduates of beauty schools as well as starting out in an apprenticeship. Old school BS have enlarged - up to 15-20 chairs.
Barbers are TRAINED LICENSE professionals. Some specialize. There are just as many FEMALE barbers as well as males. At the one I go to, it's 50/50. A lot of males seem to perfer female barbers and femals love getting their nails done by male manicurists.
