The salon I got to for my brows has men and women. My
Brows are done by a guy who is fab! I have been going to him for years and a great following!

Is there anyone else here that does nothing to their brows besides me? 🤓

My hair grows really fast...I get at least a dozen "new" eyebrows EVERY DAY

I had mine done by an electrolysis years ago, when I worried more about my appearance.  I have let my hair go white but my brows are still brown with an occasional white hair.  My hand isn't steady and it is difficult to pluck out the only white.  I had no idea about the larger magnifying mirror, mine does not have that much magnification.  I must get new!  Thanks.

@JFD12

I haven't been doing anything to my brows lately.  They have gotten pretty light and sketchy.  I was going to get them tinted but I wasn't crazy about it.  Since one eyebrow has a lot more hair than the other and the hair is darker to begin with, I ended up looking really lopsided.  Not a good look.  So, for now, I have just been leaving them alone.

@KatieB  Most females in my neck of the woods go to their local/neighborhood barber shop to have their eyebrows plucked & shaped.  From my understanding the barbers have eyebrow stencils & do a fast & fantastic job.

???? A barber? As in an old fashion barber shop with a male barber? NO WAY!!  What does a man know about shaping brows????

Today, there are brow bars for this. Females who have been trained and know how to shape brows to flatter your face shape.

Anastasia is one example but there are others.

@ahoymate   I agree about no way going to a barger for brows. Ulta has a brow bar. My brows are still thick, but my tail is disappearing. Years ago I went to Ulta to have them groomed for the first time and posted my brow photo here. I've been able to keep them up since then w/ a good magnifying mirror and RMS pencil and powder.

I don't do anything at home anymore and I only get them waxed when DD thinks I need it.

At different points over the years, I’ve had my hair, nails, and facials done by males. I imagine it’s no different for brows.

I do my own brows these days after a few bad experiences (burned once having them waxed and also plucked way too thin on 2 other occasions) by “trained” female cosmetologists. I don’t believe the gender has anything to do with the end result of any beauty service.

I'm going to get mine shaped professionally----they have a mind of their own--had chemo so lost ALL my hair everywhere and the brows grew back wonky--same with my lashes.

I stopped the waxing years ago, my tails never grew back.
