I have fine, curly hair and have to wash it every day. I work out every day. It's a wreck by the morning. If I flat iron it, I can go every other day to wash. I would normally just take a bath those days. Dry shampoo has always eluded me. Never worked right.

Me, too. Plus, that's what shower caps are for.

I don't use dry shampoo because my hair needs to be damp or wet to be styled. I use a spray bottle full of water to get it a little damp, then add a refresher spray. (I use Ouidad Botanical Boost, but you could use WEN Replenishing Treatment Mist or any number of drugstore sprays. Aveda has one, too.) After that, I scrunch a little styling product in and let it dry.

I've been doing that for about 25 years.

I wish I could go several days but really my hair needs washing every day which I do when it is short. Right now it is shoulder length so I try to wash every other day. I wear a terry lined shower cap but I leave my bangs out and wash them,lol. I heard hair gets less oily as you get older but I'm 51 and so far it is just as oily! I'd love to only have to wash it every third day. It is very thick and if I let it air dry it takes about 6 hours to dry! Dry shampoo never worked for me either.

I have long (below shoulder length) thin hair. If I want to take a shower without washing my hair I wrap it in a turbie twist and put a thin shower cap over it.

Can anyone recommend an UNSCENTED dry shampoo? I would love to use it on my bangs on in-between days, but I know a scent would give me a headache.

I wash my hair every other day, and I don't usually need any dry shampoo. I have long hair so I just pull it up into a bun while I shower and it stays dry.

I have dry hair. I wash it about every 3 days or so. I style it everyday though. I don't really need a cap. My hair is short and I kind of stick my head away from the shower. I don't shower with a full blast of water. I sometimes wear the cap, sometimes I don't.

Have never used dry shampoo.
