The good news is that it's not permanent, but as long as you take Eliquis then your hair will continue to thin out but you won't lose all of it...just thinning.  You just have more hairs going into their shedding phase of their growth cycle caused by that medication. You might want to consider asking your doctor about Rogaine. It's one thing used to treat that kind of hair loss.

yes,  it distributes your naturally occurring oil from the scalp down each strand of hair.

Of course this activity is only do-able if you have basically straight hair. 

If I tried this I'd damage my hair.

 I have very thick hair.  A board's bristle brush is so soft it won't even touch my scalp.  I use a brush with stiff nylon bristles.
