Your mention of Peter O’Toole got me thinking: I have “Lawrence Of Arabia” in the DVR.  I decided to put in on finally.  Good thing for a rainy day.

“...junk food leads to anxiety and depression...”

I absolutely know this is true.  From personal experience.

I also know that sugar and nicotine are as addicting, or more so, than cocaine.  (That is not from personal experience.😉)

@geezerette

Speaking of snorting up powder, BH and I just ran our new vacuum cleaner.  I think it picked up a whole dog and a beach.

It's a Shark.

As for switching kibble, the senior formula was half the price of his usual, but BH backed out because the senior formula isn't grain-free.

And his regular also had a coupon for a free bag of the treats he loves.

I can't get over this carpet.  I told BH we had to stop because we kept filling up the cylinder and dumping it in the garbage can in the front of the house.  I don't want the neighbors to think this is the first time we've vacuumed in 24 years.

LOL, I vacuum for a living. My dogs are only aloud down stairs. Hair travels.
geezererette, be careful going off the medicine. Go back on if needed and hang loose. It has been a heck of a bad time for you. Sending you a hug.

Re: ComPact 2019 – Accountable April

@just bee - Good question about the ancient e.l.f. palettes. It's not my call, but with all of the pretty palettes you just picked up I wouldn't keep them any longer. I used to have those exact palettes years ago and they were nice and I actually used up quite a few of them.

But, for as old as they are and as cheap as they were, I'd put them right in the trash and start using the new, pretty fresh stuff. Unless, you're worried that you won't like any of the new palettes as much. Then I'd at least put the e.l.f. aside until you get a change to try out the new stuff and see if you like it. Keep the e.l.f. as an emergency back up, if you like the new shadows, ditch the e.l.f.

Same with the blush, the old Laura Geller palette served you well for years, but I'd toss it and start using the new blushes that you got.

Re: ComPact 2019 – Accountable April

@geezerette - if my husband weren't here there is absolutely NO way I would stay on this property all by myself. NO way. You're a better woman than me. Even something as simple as clearing the driveway when it snows is a hassle. It's so long that we have to plow it with a plow that's attached to a quad, we don't even snow blow it, let alone shovel it. Plus, hubby is the one that wanted this place, not me. I was perfectly happy in a subdivision. To him, subdivision is a swear word.

The dogs absolutely love it here, but I wouldn't stay for them. Probably not for the boys either. Unless they were big enough and old enough to take on most of the work and they REALLY wanted to stay. But by myself? Nope, would never happen.

@just bee -that vacuum cleaner definitely sounds like something I can use. I'm getting pretty tired of all of the dog hair around this house. I love my dogs, but when they're gone, I'm not sure if I want another one or not just because of the hair.

After seeing how much hair and sand the Shark extracted, I get the feeling the other vacuums just moved the debris around but didn't pick it up.

One day all this carpet will be pulled out.  I can only imagine how thick the layer of sand is underneath.

All I can say is: Eew.

Of course, you're making perfect sense.  Unlike me. Woman LOL

I've already started using the wet n wild blushes on my days off, but I still want to polish off that smidge of Pink Grapefruit in the palette.  It actually looks different compared to the new one I ordered.  Sunswept looks a little different, too.

I can part with one of the shadow palettes.  Well, I used one shade completely -- that's gone -- and the three that are left are a silvery white, a charcoal and a color that resembles Brulee (a good neutral).  I might keep it for that neutral, but the other shades can go.  (If I have a similar shade in another palette, all three can go away.)

But the Butternut is a keeper.  Shades of peach, copper and bronze -- why don't they still produce this one?  Perfect colors.

I'll experiment with the new palettes on my days off until I find new favorites.

I have to say that all the e.l.f. products I ordered from drugstore.com impressed me.  The sizes were just right and every color was flattering whether it was for eyes or lips.

The company has the right idea about smaller sizes.  It shouldn't take a lifetime to use a palette or a gloss.  Cut the size and the price.

Re: ComPact 2019 – Accountable April

Our Downtown Growers Market opened for the new season yesterday.  I just emailed BH the dates for the Corrales and Los Ranchos Markets, too.

I'm looking forward to the No Name apples this year and I hope I like them as much as I did last year.  It's been fun trying so many new varieties at Natural Grocers and I may even continue to pick up apples there, but the No Name was a game changer.

Do you have dependable growers markets in your area?
