@just bee- I bought an eyeshadow palette from Ulta from the Beauty Gems brand 2 years ago. It sat here for a year before I even started using it and I've been using it this whole past year. Not excusively, but probably 80% of the time. I like it so much that I'd be happy just using this one palette forever. How often does that happen?
I looked at the Beauty Gems line this year and can't find one that looks like it. They have other palettes of course, but they don't look the same. Figures. If they did I'd actually be tempted to buy another one and toss everything else. Maybe next year they will have something similar to what I have now. But like you, I think I will have to actually go to the store to see how they look in person. It's so hard to tell with colors online sometimes.

And that's why I wouldn't be opposed to walking into a Walgreens and shuffling through their bargain bins to find a cheap shadow and blush. Who cares if it's been discontinued? Your favorites will be discontinued anyway, so just go with it. ![]()

You reminded me and I just made a mug of jasmine. I think I'll have another! ![]()

Any ideas of what to do with all the little pots of Bare Mineral eyeshadows? I have about 10 of them and hate to throw them away, but haven’t used them in years. Just sitting in a little bag in my bathroom drawer.

I have a little left in a pot myself. It's really old, but there's nothing wrong with it. Are you worried that they might be past their prime? I don't think they ever go "bad."
Can't you use them?
I'm glad I didn't collect every color because it takes forever to get through one of them. ![]()

No I’m not worried about them having gone bad. I just don’t care for the colors
and they are messy. ![]()

@hunter-if it were me, I'd just toss the Bare Minerals. It doesn't sound like you're ever going to use them again, so they're just clutter now. I'd hang onto them if I thought I'd use them again, but if not, out they go. I'm finally starting to get to the point where I'm not keeping stuff around unless I really think I'm going to use it. And if I don't like it even a little bit, I'm not going to torture myself trying to use up products I can't stand.
The only other option I could think of would be to give it to a daughter, niece, young girl to play with. I don't have any of those around.

Yes! Messy they are. I can live with that, but if you're talkin' unflattering colors, then it's time to bid them a fond adieu. Earlier this year I decided there were colors and patterns in my closet I wouldn't be wearing anymore and those items were donated.
Do you know anyone (relative, coworker, friend) who might want them? If you don't and you can't mix them to create different colors, then you might just have to throw them away. That might be better than having them sitting there reminding you that you don't like them.
I had to pour a lot of fragrances down the drain and I don't miss them.

I was out and about a bit yesterday so I made a couple of stops and took advantage of a couple of coupons that I had.
I had a BBW coupon for a free product so I stopped there and got a tube of Twisted Peppermint body cream. No other purchase there yesterday. I put a bit on my hand and realized how much I still enjoyed the scent. I didn't get any last year and was surprised how much I missed it. I think that I might have to grab a couple more of the body creams and one of the body sprays this year too while I can.
Then I stopped at Ulta and took advantage of the buy 2 get 2 free sale and used another $5 coupon and the remaining $10 I had on a gift card. Got 2 packs of make up remover wipes for sensitive skin because I'm out, a gel eyeliner in smoke (my pewter and taupe colors from Physicians formula are almost gone), and a Hydraboost moisturizer to try. My skin has been feeling so dry this winter and the moisturizers I've been using at night just don't seem to be cutting it. When I get up in the morning my face feels like a shriveled up prune. I'm hoping this Hydraboost will help a bit. All 4 products set me back less than $8, and I'm hoping that they will all get used.
Both stores were crazy busy, reminded me why I enjoy shopping online so much. It's almost worth it to spend the extra money to get free shipping, or even pay for shipping, if I can avoid that madness.
