Re: ComPact 2018 – Declutter December

@just bee, I saw that apple tea a few days ago.  I was tempted. Good thing there wasnt a good coupon going on.  I will wait for the 30% again.  But, I was relieved because I do have so much tea, I need to get through it.

Have you tried the vanilla comodoro? If you have, is it good, does it taste like vanilla?

@rnmom

Just to avoid the traffic around the shopping areas.  No one is paying attention and it's just not safe to be out there.

I'm thinking of replacing my shadow and blush with Burt's Bees products.

blush

shadow

What's more, I always forget to use the points I earn for donating blood, so I might use those points for Target gift cards and pick up cosmetics there.

"Free Bees."

Ar, ar, ar.

@just bee, well, of course, withdrawal and sale, um, YES!! That is a "need" buy. Woman LOL

Interesting about the dragon tea, @just bee, I have only had this once and am reserving comment until I give it a fair try. I wasnt thrilled with my first cup but have learned to really try something out before claiming I dont like it. I will give it a try at bedtime and see if I see any benefits at least.

Oh no, another tea junkie in the making.

You are making me want a cup of the cinnamon spice and I dont have any withe me. Woman Sad

@aprilskies

Well, I took advantage of their current sale and special offers and I think I came out all right.  I've been putting a real dent in the collection and will even donate a few empty tins.

The Dragon Pearl Jasmine gets points for fragrance.  It's probably the best jasmine I've had.  It's relaxing.

Sometimes they grow on you.  Look at my sister and the Ginger Liquorice. Woman Wink

@aprilskies Is the jasmine pearl tea too strong, too floral? Try steeping it for a shorter time. I find that it tends to get sharp the longer it steeps.

@Oshare-girl, not sure. I only tried it once so far and dont remember so jury is still out. I just remember not liking the smell or taste. However, I was trying a few flavors all in a short period of time so I need to give it a good chance. I dont judge based on one cup.  I have come to love others after a few cups.

I will keep that in mind about steeping. Also, I have come to learn you have to put the right amount of water with Harvey & sons, otherwise it dilutes the taste a bit. ...and since I have an electric kettle, i can control the temp.

Vanilla Comoro is the decaf version of Vanilla Black.  I wanted to like it but I didn't.  It smelled better than it tasted.

I may brew a cup this morning but it won't be a fair evaluation.  I woke up with a cold.

I sneezed all day yesterday and now I have a sore throat.  Other than that, I feel fine.  Hoping it's just allergies.

Even though I don't have allergies.  But they can develop later in life, so I'm open.

I didn't like White Christmas, either.  It actually made me queasy.  A very strange reaction.  I gave it to a former coworker.  I never liked her much.

Re: ComPact 2018 – Declutter December

@just bee-yeah, the traffic was insane too. I definitely wouldn't have stopped if I hadn't been out for something else.

Those Burt's Bees products are really pretty. I haven't tried any of their cosmetics before, but they look nice. And I'm all for free, sounds like a great deal to me!

I can't imaging actually NEEDING blush or eyeshadow. I always buy more before I actually use up what I have. I'm one that gets sucked into the pretty eyeshadow palettes. That's definitely my thing, more than lippies, etc. And blush, I can't believe how long it takes to use up blush. YEARS. I've actually stopped even wearing it half the time because I feel like I have so much redness/discoloration in my skin that I'm trying to cover up with foundation, I don't want to add anything back onto my face, even if it is strategically applied. I still use it some, but not nearly as much as I used to. The blush I have here now will probably last me until I'm dead.

If you do decide to try something new let us know how you like it!

Re: ComPact 2018 – Declutter December

@hunter, I would just toss them also as others have mentioned. I have a slew of them and earlier this year, I tossed about 10 of them.  I like shimmer but sparkle/glitter has to go.  If I was being honest with myself, I should have tossed the rest. I wouldn’t of missed them.  I have so much eyeshadow that I just dont reach for these often.  So this year as I am looking at my mu again, I will have to make a decision.

I think at one point, the colors were so fun to collect but it might be time to move on.   I agree with @rnmom, if you are not using or gonna use, it is just clutter at this point.

Re: ComPact 2018 – Declutter December

@rnmom

Well, I'm trying to wait until I've used everything up.  Those LG blushes are almost gone but I've been using them since March 2010 so I don't expect them to be completely gone any time soon.

I'd repurchase, but LG has already discontinued two of the colors I really liked.

I'm taking my time.  I figure if I wait long enough, the Burt's Bees products will be discontinued, too, and I won't have to worry about finding them.

They're making us so cynical, aren't they?

@just bee, thanks.  Yes, I have had mild allergies but this year seems so much worse. So, keep your fingers crossed it is just that. At work so many people are coming down with the flu. I am not a dedicated vitamin taker but I am starting up my multi again.

Thanks, I wont order any then. LOL about the coworker.   I would still like to find a nice vanilla caramel flavor. If you come upon it, do shout.

Re: ComPact 2018 – Declutter December

@just bee- yep, it definitely does get frustrating when you finally find something that you like and then it's discontinued. It seems like that's happening more and more lately. What is it with these companies? You fnd something that you like and would repurchase, but then it's gone. I just don't understand it.

Maybe they figure that we like trying new things, but there are some things that I'd just like to be able to buy without having to look for something new.

Re: ComPact 2018 – Declutter December

Yes, the traffic out there is just atrocious.  Yesterday I was out and wanted to stop at the dollar store for some cards and just kept going. No parking spots, it was raining and I was  annoyed.  You would think these stores are giving things away. Last weekend I didnt bother going out at all. I just didnt want to deal with it.  I cant imagine as we get closer to Christmas.
