It's already Jan. 12th--so far this month I have only purchased groceries, gas, stamps, and a Subway sandwich for $5.25. I really enjoy the support from all of you. Thank you.

It is Jan. 23rd--and I am proud to say nothing has changed since my previous post. Again, thank you.

Favorite Son-I like the idea of the One Room a Month too. By the end of the year, we could have the whole house decluttered! And this forum would be a great place to come to to keep motivated and get encouragement. I'm in!

Favorite Son: One Room a Month is a great idea. I'm in for February!

I know just where to start. My den is so cluttered I would be embarrassed to tears if anyone were to see it.

I agree, the one room a month is a great idea. Count me in. I would love to be done with this whole decluttering business by the end of this year. It's taken up too much room in my mind for too many years now. I have done a lot already and this will help me stay focused and get it done.

If one room a month is too daunting, start smaller. Choose two closets, or maybe that set of shelves in the basement.

Favorite Son - I'll join the club and have already started. After I cleaned under my bed, I took a good look at my bedroom. It is full of clutter. Hidden clutter. Every drawer in my bedside table is full. Surely, I can throw out some things. After posting about my childhood stuff in the attic, I brought everything down from the attic. It is now in the bedroom. I am going to go through it. I have a feeling that some of the things I saved were not worth saving, like the Sucret box holding a few dog hairs.

Today, I nearly caved. It started out as an innocent trip to the Apple store to replace our broken charger. After buying the charger, I decided to go next door to Sephora to see if the other two eye shadow palettes that I am interested in but haven't seen in person were in stock. Jackpot! Smashbox Full Exposure and Too Faced Chocolate Bar were in stock with try me's available to sample. Fortunately, the colors in the TF palette would not work for me, and the Smashbox palette did not wow me, especially for $49! I was truly happy to cross these off my buy someday list.

Since I was already there, I looked at the two eye shadow palettes that I know I like - Too Faced Boudoir Eyes and Sephora Natural Instinct. The TF palette is so pretty. Still love. I looked for the Sephora palette but could not find it. I asked a SA about it, and she said it was sold out. BOO HOO!

At home, curiosity got to me, and I visited the Sephora website. What did I find? The Natural Instinct palette is on sale for $15. NNNNNNOOOOOOOO!! It's January!! This won't last until February. Well, ComPacters, I put it in my cart. For only $35 more, I could get free shipping. The TF palette is $36. That would bring me to $51. Then, I thought about the Ojon spray that I like which is not available locally. However, if I bought that instead of the TF palette, I would be $8 short to qualify for free shipping. So I browsed the nail polish and found a couple I liked. I was trying to decide what to buy when the January No Buy popped into my mind. I emptied my cart. I really want to do this! Phew!! That was a close one. Eight more days.

Paws and enjoy life.

FLASHBACK!!! I stored all my ""secrets"" in my Sucrets boxes!!! Where do you think I kept my pennies when I was a kid?
