For those asking about tea, try the Kroger Private Selection Brand. They put it on sale quite often and I think it is delicious. My favorite is the Passion Fruit and Papaya Black Tea. I couldn't find it a couple of times and actually panicked that it was being discontinued so when I did find it, I bought several boxes. I never tire of it.

I never cared for any of the green teas out there until I tried the Twinings Gunpowder Green Tea. The leaves are rolled into little balls and they unfurl when steeped. Be sure and leave lots of room for the leaves to do so. Every green tea I had ever tried before made me a little sick to my stomach for some unknown reason but this one doesn't do that and it tastes wonderful.

You can find lots of unique and delicious teas at T.J. Maxx also. Just remember to steer clear of the beauty aisles !!!!!!

Hey -- do I know you? Were we separated at birth? That's precisely how I got into trouble in the first place. I started trying all those obscure teas I'd find in stores like Marshalls and Ross. That's how I found Yorkshire Red and Gold! {#emotions_dlg.lol}

Oh, yeah... Tazo. I forgot about them.

And then there's Yogi. (The tea, not the bear.)

There was a tea I loved in college. This was the late 70s - early 80s. Celestial Seasonings Pelican Punch. I was addicted. Then I discovered that it was a tea specially created for and marketed to children. {#emotions_dlg.blushing}

The company had to realize that college students were just mad about the stuff, but all of a sudden it was discontinued. There are still those who go online hoping that someone out in cyberspace will remember the tea and be able to console them. Or know where someone could find a box -- even if it's over 30 years old.

The company should bring it back. {#emotions_dlg.angry}

I'm sitting here with one of the new English teas I bought this week. England loves it. I do not.

That's pretty funny. Really the only Celestial Seasonings tea I'll drink these days is the Honey Vanilla Chamomile. There's an online resource that lists their discontinued teas along with a flavor one might want to try that could be similar.

This list suggests Honey Vanilla Chamomile is a good substitute for my beloved and defunct Pelican Punch. It is to laugh. I don't taste much similarity, but it's interesting that these are two teas I like from the company.

Both teas include a bit of licorice but, if memory serves, the Punch also listed carob as an ingredient. And there was a bit of coconut flavor in it. But I could be hallucinating.

Does anyone else remember it?

I made it thru the first week with no beauty purchases! Prai special on hsn almost got me. But I reminded myself that I have ssc lift kit still to try in my stash. I read that ssc is back next week with a today special. They are usually tempting, so I'm hoping its some gadget I dont want lol.

So I will just look at what I have and that should quiet that noise. I should be finishing a few more things this month and getting some more bottles out of the house. It really does help to stop the flow , you begin to see a difference. I am starting to use things I thought for sure would make their way into the trash eventually. A couple of things still may but at least it's not all that I thought. I will hold true to this no buy Jan, especially for beauty products.

Hi Ladies! I am happy to join you! Aprilskies, I can so relate to " the noise that needs quieted." Because of you Ladies, I have been working on my stash. It was sooooo frustrating to throw out many, many vitamins that had expired. It was equally maddening to toss many, many creams that had separated. Why do we do this? But, this is the time to move forward. I am getting my stash organized ,so I now know what I have & when it will expire. Thanks for the motivation. The Bob Newhart video spoke to me. He was saying, " Stop procrastinating & get that stash organized!!!" I know some of you can relate. I am glad Just Bee started this thread.

My skincare and beauty products are listed in a spreadsheet so when I feel the need for something new, I will shop my stash. I did give away 20+ items for Christmas and will continue to do that for upcoming birthdays. I did purchase a Carol's Daughter's product, the new Monoi Cream Oil, during last week's TS day - but only one. That is a major accomplishment for me especially since they kept saying that it wouldn't be back for a while. I reminded myself that I have enough beauty products to last for the next three years. Another accomplishment was that I didn't purchase any hair products. I seem to have switched my "have to haves" from skin to hair products but again I am going to shop my stash.

In December when the "% off" emails were coming fast and furiously, I would sometimes go to the site and start a shopping cart, fill it, and then close out with the thought that if it haunted me overnight then I would return and complete the purchase. It never did. Even when some of the sites sent me the dreaded "Did you forget" email to remind me that I had left things in the cart. Sometimes I clicked the link in their email and went back and removed everything and in other cases, I simply deleted their email.

I also need to conquer some of the older invoices and bank statements that I have accumulated. I do have some motivation because I am probably going to be moving at some point this year. I am a procrastinator but have decided to use some of the time that I spend dong mindless things like watching tv and do something productive like shredding or going through folders that contain paper I no longer need.

I look forward to reading about everyone's goals and what you're doing to reach them.

This month I started a spreadsheet to keep track of beauty and home fragrance purchases I haven't made. These are items that I'm sure I would have bought if I wasn't on a no-buy. So far there's only two, and they total $75.96!
