I had paid over 100.00 for mine and I hate them as they do not curl as they look on TV. I got it for long hair.

I agree with you 100%. I bought the original ones also and bought the ones for long hair and they didn't hold my hair at all. All the work to out them in and soon as I took them out within minutes my hair was straight. What a waste of money.

I got the long ones. If they don't work I'll send them right back. I want to make beach waves and start the curl at the root and wind my way down. I do that now with foam rollers. It looks beautiful but it takes several hours so I don't do it very often.

I've found that some people's hair hold a set better than others. This may be the reason for different opinions. You can always return an item as long as it's within the return period. I doubt they will pay for shipping but you can always ask. I saw these on the show ironically because I usually don't watch QVC too long as I have no will power. I bought things I didn't need or want but they looked good on TV so....... but I did see these and the results looked good. I didn't get them because I'm no good at setting my hair. I'm too much of a spaz at it. It took me years to blow dry well. I don't like curly hair. I like mine sleek with just a bend on the end. Hey, that rhymes! A bend on the end! Ha ha! Just a little levity. Seriously, anyone who got this, maybe having the hair a bit damp may hold the curl better? Did they send instructions with them? I'm sorry I can't give good advice on this. Good luck, all.

I have super fine, super thick above the shoulder hair. I have to dirty it up for curl to hold. I use sea salt spray and blow dry a bit. Then I spray each section with strong hold, flexible hair spray like Being Sexy. Then roll and leave them in until they are nice and cold. I do my makeup, set out my clothes, dress, and do breakfast before I pull them out and finish with a toss and more spray.

In the rainforest? Tehehehehehe! I saw the previous set in the rainforest as well, but decided to get the newer version last night. The adjustable temperature sealed the deal. The difference between the older set (as priced in the rainforest) and the TSV price last night is substantial, but I really think the manufacturers were aware of the issues the previous one had (there were some according to the low reviews) and they tried to fixed them in the newer model.
