I bought a set with the long rollers on clearance at Ulta for $25 and like them. I have hard to curl hair and these work well. But if I had to replace them, I wouldn't pay $100. I've had a conair set that worked just as well. I don't understand why TSVs aren't offered with free shipping, especially during the holidays when it seems retail is so competitive and most offer free S&H.

I have the original set and never understood the bad reviews. If anything they make my hair too curly! I purchased the body wave set last week and got them several days ago. LOVE them! My hair is below my shoulders and sometimes I just want extra body without curl. This new set has a high and low heat setting which is new. I used the rollers yesterday morning after I washed my hair and this morning I still have curl. Very happy with this purchase {#emotions_dlg.thumbup}

Did you get the medium set? I'm tempted, but I hate paying the high shipping. Plus, as someone else stated, the reviews are never very favorable. My hair is long and semi fine but with a lot of natural wave in it. I like curlers to add body and straighten out the wave with a slight curl.

No, I got the giant rollers because I want body more than curl! I don't like the high shipping either but I joined a free shipping site quite some time ago and I get a rebate for the shipping at QVC plus 10% cash back. I have to pay $12 a month but it's well worth it in the long run!

Can you tell us what free shipping site you use? That sounds interesting.

I've been watching Calista's hot rollers today, and the difference might be the roller continues heating after putting in your hair. She said if you wanted more body or curl, leave it in for TWENTY minutes. You can use it twice a day with no damage.

I'm still considering it. I've had inexpensive and expensive hair dryers. I've had inexpensive and expensive heated curling brushes. There is significant difference in both. I have Calista's Perfector. It's everything she says. There's no damage to hair & it shines and doesn't look fried. Over time, I've learned there are some things how much you pay does make a difference. I'm not going on the cheap for either of these two things anymore.

I bought the Calista rollers for myself about a year ago; it's on a shorter stand than this tsv and it heats six rollers at a time. I really love them, but since it was before the long clips were available, I have to use two clips to hold each roller in place. This is fine because I still have enough clips for my hair (I only need six rollers for all of my hair!)

I bought this tsv in the short set for my mom. She's been using them for a few weeks now and loves them (I bought this tsv early through the insider).

These are really great hot rollers; the best I've used! Ever! For a person with long hair, the long rollers are great! I haven't ever found long rollers available anywhere until I found the Calista tools. If I could find long rollers in a $40 set at Walmart or Target I definitely would not have paid $100 but I have never found this in any set other than the Calista.

I have an older version of these hot rollers. 12 rollers- 6 med, 6 small-only diff is the new set gives you an option for low or high heat. Don't think I would ever use a low heat setting, so no need to upgrade. It's a great product & I do recommend it. Also purchased the long rollers separately, and will purchase the new "wave" rollers when they sell them as an add on. Love the different looks and the versatility of having optional roller sizes. It is the ionic technology that makes a diff, and there are other competitors that sell lower cost ionic hot rollers. Conair is one option that has good reviews.
