I watch a lot of demos on YouTube and see a lot of variations in terms of order of application. What strikes me as particularly interesting is those who apply eye makeup before anything else. On the sporadic occasions when I apply eyeliner, I hold my lid taught from the outer corner, and I end up rubbing some foundation and shadow off. So I might just try applying me eye makeup before foundation, or anything else. Does anyone else do this? Here's my ususal order of application...

I always thought the term "foundation" was just that. First. Includes primers, of course. I don't understand the application of eye makeup first either. Certainly not how I do it.

Here's the order I use:
* Moisturizer
* Foundation or Tinted Moisturizer
* Blush
* Finishing power (not always)
* Spritz with Rosewater
* Eyebrow pencil
* Eyeliner
* Eyeshadow (not always)
* Mascara
* Lipgloss

Here's the order I use:
Moisturizer
Brow Pencil to fill in spots
Primer to face
Primer to eyelids and brow area
Eye liner to lower lid area
Eye shadow
Eye liner to upper lid area
eyelash curler
primer to lashes
mascara
foundation to face
blush
lipliner
lipstick
lip gloss

I do the eye shadow first before the foundation because sometimes the powder falls below the eye onto the upper cheek. If a primer is used on the face, it just brushes off and no color is seen on the cheek area (from the eye shadow).

Concealer above and below eye
Foundation
If it's a liquid foundation, sometimes I follow with a little powder
Eyebrow pencil
Eyeshadow
Eyeliner
Mascara
Blush
Lip ointment
Lipstick and/or Gloss

I would apply brow pencil after I did my primer otherwise it might smear all over the place

I use the Urban Decay brow beater pencil to fill in areas and this pencil doesn't smear for me.

I do liner as the last eye makeup step, after mascara. I always get a little mascara smudged on my upper lid. It's faster and easier for everyday purposes to make the smudge look deliberate by blending liner over it instead of trying to take just that bit off.
