Still think I'm about 35, but my energy tells me that I'm middle age! How could I have turned 70 last week? Looks great! Friends and family are blessings. Who cares about the number? Having a great time with this thing called "life."  Plan to keep adding another birthday each year!  Smiley Happy

@BirkiLady  I’ll be 70 in July and fighting a party the family is discussing. It’s no big deal to me, either. I’m lucky to not feel older than I did at 40 and have held up pretty well physically/mentally.

I don’t mind getting the gifts....it’s all those ?!?#!% candles!

@Shanus  They plan on candles? That's cruel. Suggest the "7" and "0" candles if they are serious about having candles. I'm diabetic and none of my parties included B-day cakes. Our family always meets at a restaurant. If someone wants a dessert, they are free to order it and my son will pay the bill. Not a problem. When going out with friends for my B-day, they buy my meal. (We do that for each other's B-day.) So if anyone wants a dessert, they order it and it's on their own bill. No problem; no candles!  BTW: 70 feels the same. Smiley Happy HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY!

Hi @BirkiLady. I’m borderline diabetic (?).It’s on both sides of family and stay on diabetic diet to keep A1C down. We do same...restaurant...my dessert is cupcake w/ candles (1 for the yrs. & 1 for good luck). Then I take a small bite and put it up for bids. The check? Somebody better grab it. Never paying for my b’day party! That’s not the idea of a celebration.

@ShanusMy 11-year old grandson would grab that cupcake in a heartbeat!! Sounds like a great celebration. Sending HEALTHY B-Day wishes your way this summer! Hope you stay borderline. Smiley Happy
