@JudyL , my knee's achy, so I've been sitting here all morning and started browsing the different forums/threads. I saw your post on the Jetti poles and watched the Q's presentation. I have trouble with balance and think they may help when I'm trying to get some steps in. I checked Amazon's price, and they were more expensive. Anyway, I bought them! I hope you have a good day...

@SleeplessinSD, no, I'm not completely off the prescription but I have been able to reduce my dose from 7.5mg to 5mg and now to 2.5mg since I started taking the Nightime capsules. I did try a couple of nights without taking the prescription at all and ended up taking the 2.5mg dose at 2am when I couldn't sleep.

@SleeplessinSD  - I went ahead and just ordered them also.  Figured I can use them even on the short walks I do now and they will be good later when I'm allowed to go for longer walks.

Good evening! Happy Eve before NYE!

I spent the morning setting up the meal for tonight, & cutting up vegetables & ham & rinsing off the canned chickpeas. 

Had a routine dental cleaning exam today & no problems found. 

I can smell my food cooking on the cooktop. 

My family is getting together for the post new year's to exchange gifts with the travelers who were away at Christmas. I am thinking about bringing over sweetened heavy cream whipped & bringing hulled strawberries. I add cinnamon & nutmeg to the sweetened whipped cream. 

Hope everyone had a relaxing weekend. I did catch a cold I guess from the get togethers. I'm Covid negative, just to make sure.

hi all. we had some major winds and rain yesterday and last night but no damage at our house. the tornadoes were very bad west and north of us, including in the town of Brandon where our friends live. my brother was working in the control tower in Jackson when the worst of the storms came through and had to evacuate the tower for almost an hour until it passed. today has been completely beautiful.

the book I've been reading was boring, so I went to the library today  and found another one. it's one by Anne Perry, which was recommended here in the Book Club group.

since DSIL has been home we haven't been keeping Ezra. I've been missing him but we had him for about 2 hours today while DSIL went to an appointment. I got to catch up on a little snuggle time.

this morning I was notified that someone in Florida charged $3400 on my credit card at a jewelry store . I immediately got in touch with the fraud department and notified them that I did not make the purchase. they canceled my card and will issue a new one. I've only had that happen once, years ago, and it was a very small purchase at that time.

we'll be celebrating New Year's Eve like we usually do...DH will be asleep and I'll be up reading . we'll have black eyed peas, turnip greens and ham on NY's day.

NYE will be warmer than average, so I've seen a lot of restaurants are completely booked. We'll grill up a steak and stay home. I debated making a stuffed tenderloin, but then there would be so much leftover. I'll just top ours with onions and mushrooms.
