Good afternoon! The further away market was busy & I also gassed up the car.

Came home & set up some baby red potatoes with coarsely chopped onions & olive oil with Penzey's Northwoods seasoning. I'm making a small steak tonight on the cooktop using a grill pan. I'll have some of the chipotle sour cream dip on the side. 

Nothing planned tonight except having some champagne (Prosecco) at around 9PM. I'll stay up till 12AM 🕛 to watch the ball drop & text my kids HNY! 

@MariotaMurielle  sometimes the scammers just hit it right with the correct numbers & CCV code. I try to not keep credit card info on most business websites.

Today did some chores around the house, spoke on the phone with my oldest brother, and did 3 loads of laundry.  Also took a bit of nap to rest my knee.  )  While I"ve been doing all of this, I have had TCM on the TV and they have shown Thin Man movies all day.  Love those movies and it's been fun to see a couple that I haven't seen before.  

Tonight for dinner I bought myself a steak and I'm going to boil some red potatoes and figure out what veggie to have.  I have some Godiva chocolate that a neighbor gave me for Christmas that I've been saving for tonight.

Will most likely be in bed and fast asleep way before midnight.

Happy New Year to all!  I'm so sorry I haven't been posting!  I check back and the last time I posted as April 2024!  I haven't went throught all the posts since then, so I do hope that everyone is well!  I can't believe it's 2025!  We had a nice Christmas, We had DD and her DH and our DS.  I only get DD and her DH every other year since his family lives in Ohio, so next Thanksgiving we'll go up to N. Virginia for Thanksgiving.  I told DD since they all work, we'd come up at Thanksgiving but they had to come here for Christmas.  I'm still playing golf, so is DH.  I got a really nice driver for my birthday and a really nice 3 wood for Christmas.  The newer clubs are great and my next new club will be a putter.  I've gotten a little better but still enjoy the game.  

We went out for NYE this year, first time ever, it was nice and we made it to midnight but probably not doing it again, we went up to the club and it was pricey.  Too much food and unlimited booze was nice but I don't drink enough to make it worth it.  We went to our friends for New Year's Day and had a nice time.  My friend can't get her husband to travel and she's having a hard time making friends since they moved here 3 years ago.  They live 40 minutes from us so we don't see them often.  I told her to looking into their main fitness center, there's usually a bullentin board with activities and such and you go from there.  It does take some effort and you have to put yourself out there.  I know our community has so many activites that there's really no excuse.  There is something for everyone in these large developments down here, anything from walking clubs, card clubs, knitting clubs, even travel clubs.  I told her if her DH didn't want to go, join one of the travel clubs and go herself with other people.  

Well, I'm going to try to post more often and also try to catch up on some of the posts.  Take care everyone!
