HiLo, thank you for passing my information on to the ladies, and for everyone's prayers.
The Lord is faithful. I sent the email asking for drivers and that they call DD#1 who loves putting together schedules. My GS's wife offered some Fridays, since she's off that day.
I know how it feels to pray all the way. Today I was thinking again as we went out there whether or not I could drive safely. That's the thing..the safety for myself and others.
When the time comes, you will work things out. The Lord will help you.
If you call CS at the Q and explain the problem with your item, I do think they will not charge you return postage. I've rarely needed to do that, but they have been very cooperative when I did. I've also started buying some things through Amazon. Free shipping for Prime.
DD likes her job, but wishes she could be off until I'm finished with my treatments. The community where she teachers is pretty conservative and the new superintendent is a believer. She's always asking for the Lord's covering and protection as she teaches the truth...
Yesterday was hard. I didn't know they were going to tape me down to the table and take pictures and I couldn't see. It took somewhere between 10-20 minutes and I almost had to ask to let me up. The panic. But the Lord helped me. I knew if I did that, I'd just have to do it again.
Today was the first treatment. It was a bit hard going to the room where hubby had his and lying on that same table. One of the ladies remembers him as a nice man.
They taped my head down so I couldn't move it, but that's for my safety. They covered my eyes...DD says like little discs which were probably lead. Put the bolus on my nose, taped that to the eye covering and left. I didn't know how to be sure when the treatment began, but did hear what I thought was the machine. Started counting in my head, and before I got to a minute, they came in and it was over. So I'm thanking the Lord that I know the proceedure now and that it is so brief. DD was relieved to see that it's something I can do. I bought a tube of the cream for radiation burns. Put some on when we got home.
Was thinking recently about how we have lived at the best time in the best place and what a privilege that has been.
Good to see you and thank you and everyone for praying.

Hi Snappy and Friends, We have a sunny day here so far, but it's supposed to rain a bit later.
I hope you are doing well and will be able to find all the rides you need to get those treatments done and out of your way. I am like you and HiLo, I try to schedule any appointments for the early afternoon, 1 o'clock or 1:30 work the best for me as I go to bed late and sleep till about 10:30 or 11. I try for at least 8 to 9 hours of sleep a night. They say that's best for our brains. I do have the craziest dreams though sometimes. No clue where they come from. Really weird. I'd rather not dream but if my brain wants to have it's own fun while I sleep, I guess it's just fine. ????
Watching the Olympics is getting to be almost an obsession. Don't like missing the swimming or gymnastics. Not into the boxing, wrestling, etc.
Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday, Everyone and stay safe and cool. ![]()

Hi Silkeej, thank you for praying for me. Hope you read the message I left for HiLo. It tells all about my treatment.
possummink, glad your son got authorization to have the car fixed. Hope it can be done.
You sleep the same hours I do. If I must get up at 6 or so in order to have a test, I absolutely drage the whole day. My treatments are scheduled for 11:30 right now. We have to allow an hour to get there. We asked for a 1 pm time, but right now they don't have any. Some people who work want that time since they are off at lunch. I understand that.
DD#2 is still home, so she took me and can until the 25th, when she has to return to work.
She's gone to Costco now to lay in supplies for the next few months.
I'm enjoying the Olympics a lot. So glad for the diversion from what's going on in this country and world. Our gymnasts did such a great job! The Final Four as they called themselves.
Like track and field also.
I need to wash the floors while DD is gone, but wanted everyone to know how things are. If you read the post to HiLo, you can see how things went. I'm grateful to all who are praying.

Hi Snappy:
I did read abour your first treatment and so glad you made it through and know what to expect. Your guardian angel was holding your hand and the Lord was watching over you giving you strength and calm. They say He doesn't give us anymore than we can handle so I think we are very strong people because we have endured a lot. I always am so thankful he gets me through my treatments and gives me a positive attitude that I can do this. I think as women who have had children our pain tolerance must be high. I will keep you in my prayers that you get drivers for your treatments if I was there I would be glad to take you. I am sure you would do the same for any of us. Please keep us posted on how your treatments are going and how you are doing. Take care you are in my thoughts and prayers.![]()
