Hello everyone,

It's been so long since I've been here. I do hope you are all staying safe and well. I had my shots in Feb. and March with almost no side effects. My girls got their's too, but my son and his wife don't want to, or my grandkids who are in their 30s. My GS who is 41, and his wife had theirs early on because of their work.

The Lord has kept us well and we are thankful.

I have 4 little great grand daughters now. Two sets of sisters, all blue eyed. One set has blond/red curlyhair, the other straight more brown hair. All beautiful girls whom I don't get to see very often. They are all so busy.

Hope you enjoy a happy Independence Day and that God will be gracious and merciful to our nation.

Hi Snappy:

I couldn't find the other site; the one posted on by Kindred Spirits.but I eventually ran across this one on Widows Thread. Have been thinking about all the girls lately and especially my old friend Snappy (you). How are you dear? Suppose you are like me

as we see one day quickly passing into the next.

Glad you are at least able to enjoy those beautiful ggranddaughters once in awhile; what a blessing. I have never been able to travel to Texas to visit with my two.but we do have other ways these days to at least see them on line.

A lot of problems here with urinary infections and it does seem that my kidneys may be failing but my system wouldn't be able to tolorate dyalysis so I hope God takes me home before that happens

. My son with cancer recently had to go to the mental clinic at Hopkins for 3 weeks. He was behaving strangly and had even thought about killing himself. I knew he was depressed but didn't know it was that bad. While there, they put him on a pretty strong drug and an antidepressant. He seems to be feeling better and thankfully my younger son Stephen has insisted that he live with him.He and I never did well living together but Stephen has always been my rock. Even though Rob seems to be holding his own now I live with the fear that his could change at any time. My biggest fear has always been to lose one of my children.

I remember seeing that your daughter has retired: so happy for her....teaching kids these days is not as it was in even our children's day.

Did try to reach one of the ladies who posted as part of the KS group but never received an answer. Tried a second time and still no answer. It usually happens that emails are returned to me if they have not been received but that didn't happen. I will probably try again but this time to Marcia. Marcia has helped so many people along the way with her advice which has been so appreciated.

Snappy, I am getting tired now so must close but please let me know how you and everyone else is doing. Please give my regards to our sweet friends on the KS site. I don't know them well but they captured my heart in our few conversations.

God has been so faithful ...... it can't be too long until we actually see Him face to face.and all those who we have loved and lost for awhile. Only a few of my old friends are left now so it does make me feel sort of alone....best friend since 5th grade passed away in Nov and this really hit hard.. Isn't it strange that when we get this age, we don't even care about our wrinkles anymore; we just want to feel our best. I seldom even look in the mirror but still enjoying watching the fashion shows on QVC.

So good to see your post. So glad you are doing well and congratulations on your dear GGD's Enjoy every minute you get to spend with them. I don't know if I told you before my

DGD graduated college with honors but no ceremonies just everything mailed to them Such a shame with all the years and work they put in that they couldn't walk to get their diplomas. Sadly, it is the way things are now. She had her first job before she graduated so she is very happy to be working and loves what she does. My family like yours is doing well and we are very grateful God is watching over us. You enjoy the upcoming July holiday, it not the same anymore we haven't had a family get together for quite some time. Our State is not completely opened up yet so maybe in the coming Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays we can, Keep in touch, we love to hear from you and how you are doing.
