@karuna, and to all the other posters on this thread: I want to thank you for the blessing that is this thread. The words written here (sometimes wrenching, sometimes laugh-out-loud funny, always loving) along with the beautiful pictures (thank you, @possummink) are, for me, the emotional equivalent of Edvard Grieg's Piano Concerto in A Minor, Debbie Reynolds' "Tammy," a squadron of jets flying overhead, the first spoonful of a hot-fudge sundae after weeks of dieting, driving across the New River Gorge Bridge in Beckley WV, and the memory of my mother's loving hand on my forehead when I was sick.

Right now, overwhelming grief in all of its terrible beauty. I will sit here and embrace it (but need to get up for more Kleenex!).

Karuna, I see you wearing comfortable clothes, your hair is braided (very cool), and you are making sun tea while tending your garden. I hear wind chimes in the distance.
