I AM SO SORRY FOR YOU LOSS.  I DID NOT REALIZE THAT THIS SPECIFIC THREAD FOR WIDOWS WAS EVEN ON QVC.  JUST SAW IT TODAY.

MY HUSBAND PASSED AWAY OF METASTATIC CANCER FEB. 2014.  I THEN HAD MY FURRY FRIEND, SHAINA, 11 YEAR OLD DOBE TO KEEP ME COMPANY.  WHEN SHE PASSED AWAY AUG, 2015, I KNEW IT WAS TIME TO MOVE.  I HAVE 2 SONS, ONE IN AUSTIN AND THE OLDEST IN BRENTWOOD, CA.  I PUT MY HOUSE ON THE MARKET AND MOVED TO LA 6 MONTHS AGO.  BEST MOVE I HAVE MADE.

I HOPE YOU ARE DOING WELL, AND HAVE MOVED TO BE WITH FAMILY.

Shaina,   Thank you!   I'm glad you found this thread.   Many very nice Ladies post on here and some just read, which is fine too.   We are all in various stages of dealing with the loss of our life partner.   My husband, Charlie, went home to Heaven almost 17 years ago.  Luckily, I have family close by and now share a home with my brother.    I have a son in Florida and spend a lot of time with him and his family, 3 grandsons, there.  Here in Missouri,  my daughter lives fairly close with my 2 granddaughters.  

I'm glad you move worked out well for you.  It's a difficult decision, at least it would be for me.    I used to have Dobermans too.  I did show them at one time, but got out of that pretty fast.  Very intense atmosphere.  

I had some wonderful Dobes and still miss my last guy so much.   He was a beautiful dog, inside and out.   Wish I could clone. him.
