Silkeej,   That kind of sounds like what I have,  only I bought a panda for  Charlie while he was in the hospital for his resection surgery.   When he came home,  the panda sat in the bed next to his pillow.    I have it in my bedroom sitting next to the bed.    I have stuffed black cats, a very curly soft sheep( I collect sheep), and  a little brown teddy bear, that's exactly like one we gave our GD when she was born.  She talks to her  Grandpa Charlie  through her teddy bear.   Hardly room for me with all the stuffed animals on the other pillow.   Also a stuffed owl pillow, I collect owls too.   I grew older, but never grew up!!! Heart

Love Red Pandas too.  Their tails remind me of raccoon tails.  In fact they remind me of raccoons with their face markings too.

10grands, yes the personal touches DD and her hubby had made the wedding that much more special.

So glad your had time with your little grandkids. They are so darling and such fun, but I remember being glad everytime ours went home! Especially GS#2 who has ADHD and was always in motion and very strong physically and NOT eager to do what he was told. He's almost 32 now, and not that much different. LOL!

It was wonderful having DD#1 with me yesterday. The doc is nice, but has an accent and for some reason, she was able to understand him better. I am greatly relieved after talking with him. What I have in my throat is a bone spur coming from my the arthritis in my neck. It's called a "osteophyte". Mind is pressing against the posterior wall of the cervical esophagus which is why I sometimes have trouble swallowing things. It's not a tumor or anything awful. He just told me to eat smaller bites and not toss a handful of pills down at one time. The risk is that something will get into the trachea and the lung, so DD#2 wants to know what to do if that happens. Me too, frankly. I'll ask the neurologist and my PC doc both of whom I see soon.

It's quite warm out here but very nice. Hope you continue to stay well. Take care,

possummink, love the pictures. Some of them must be posed by people, but others are clearly just was happened. Lots of things to learn from them.

Glad the weather is nice. No humidity is a good thing. It's probably in the 80s here today.

Yes, the pillow is a treasure. GD is getting married in June, but they aren't having a ring bearer so it won't get used there. She does want to wear my garter. It's old and faded, but DD wore it and a new one of her own. That's sweet.

I'm grateful the thing in my throat isn't a tumor or anything life threatening. We get bone spurs as we age. DD had them in her knee and had surgery to fix them, and they can operate on mine, but it's very risky and they don't like to unless absolutely necessary. It's really from arthritis associated with aging. OLD, that's what I am.

halfpint, sorry you had trouble finding your credit card. That about scares us to death considering what people do with our identity when they get it. So thankful it's all settled now, but it's exhausting. Take care of yourself and enjoy your kitties.

Hi Silkeej, so good to see you today. Grateful to know you and learn more about you. We do need our families, and my heart goes out to those who don't have anyone, or they don't care or are too far away to get together. We are blessed. I treasure you as a friend also. When nobody else is around, I know someone will be here needing a word of hope or just sharing something uplifting like our dear possummink does. Have a nice evening,

possummink, I laughed at that owl hanging upside down! Too funny. Thanks so much. Hope you get the rain you need. Wish you would also. It's probably in the low 80s here today. I washed the tile floors after vacuuming and have a load of pjs that need to be folded. My tax person is coming tomorrow to pick up my paper work and we will go out to Panera for lunch.

I'm sure you know by reading other posts that things are okay as far as my throat is concerned. It's a bone spur caused by the arthritis in my neck. It's pressing on the posterior wall of the cervical esophagus which is why sometimes things don't go down like they should. I just have to eat smaller bites and be more careful.

For some reason I wolf down my meal like someone is going to take it off my plate....

Thanks for caring and for sharing all the beauty.
