Hi possummink, feels like a stroll through an art museum today. Is that a scorpion with the boxer? Wonder who would win that fight? That plate and cup are gorgeous. Hope things are okay where you are. We are having a gray day with clouds, humidity (for us) and even a little rain about 7 this morning. DD#1 was in a bad accident on the freeway yesterday. She is okay, shaken up, achy, and doing insurance paper work. A man from another country, driving a large rental car rear ended her without trying to stop. It was a bad jolt. I have the pictures of her Prius. Wow, am thanking the Lord she and her friend with her weren't seriously hurt. The police came, and the tow truck and it just makes you know how fragile life is. The man had an international driver's license and a passport and insurance with the rental compay...the biggest name we know. She googled him and thinks she found that he is a college professor here. He was shaken up by the traffic and even though he barely spoke English, asked if it's always that heavy. So thank the Lord with us that everyone is alive. Cars can be repaired or replaced, not people.

goldens, thank you for being glad my DD is okay. I appreciate the kindness. Are you feeling any better? I know you've been ill and also a bit depressed. Hope you are more "up" today. You "hearted" me, which makes me smile. I wish you peace.

Was taking a break from packing an saw your post about your DD, so glad she is okay and she wasn't badly hurt.  The freeways are a busy place, everyone today seems to be in a hurry to get no where.  Well thank goodness he had insurance too. She will probably be a little sore, you don't realize that until after the fact.  I'm speaking from my accident with my car.   Your right, it's only material as long as she is ok....all the best and my prayers to you and your family.

Boxer dog and ahhhhhhhhhh scorpion

Snappy,  That's a crawdad with the Boxer.   Or some call them crayfish.  They resemble lobsters in a way, but much smaller and they are freshwater critters.  Cat Happy

Snappy,  I just read your post and am happy that your daughter wasn't seriously hurt.  Sorry about her car, but her being alive and basically ok is the important thing.    When I started reading your post, I thought of the awful fires that are jumping onto the Interstates and burning cars, trucks and I saw a boat in flames.   Such an awful situation.  You all need a tropical storm, not severe, but one with a lot of moisture to put out those fires and put an end to that drought.

My daughter left here at DS's at about 8:30 am and called a bit ago on the north side of Nashville, TN.   She's running late due to a traffic delay near Atlanta.   56 miles in 3 hours.   She was fit to be tied.   We, my son and I, wanted her to stop for the night, but she thinks she's going to make it home to Missouri early morning and not stopping.  That worries me, as she didn't sleep well last night and my granddaughter doesn't have much experience with night driving on Interstates.  I worry about deer, possums, and other wildlife being on the roads at night and causing accidents.

I hope your daughter isn't too sore from the accident she was involved in.  Scary for sure.

Take good care.

Lovely & quaint.

Phluphy,   What a sweet thing your grandchildren did to come help you pack up some of your things for the move.  Many hands make the work lighter and you had some good companionship time with your young grandkids.

Have you found the place that you want to  have as home.   I hope it's near your son.  I don't like  to pack especially when I have so much that would have to be packed for a move.   Some of the items have old family memories attached to them and it seems that many kids these days just don't have that type of interest.  Not easy to know what to do with such things.

Give Kitty a good hug and some pets for me and take care of yourself.    I guess that sounds bossy, not meant to be, just concern. Cat Happy
