Re: " New normal" might include higher prices

It's going to take a while to get up and running. I  missed a couple of appointments, I can pay a more for a while.

Re: " New normal" might include higher prices

I have been with my hairdresser for about 17 yrs and her prices have been reasonable and fair.  Because of my length of time with her she has not raised her price to me in about 4 yrs.  When I go back in June I don't know if she is raising her prices but I am. Least I can do to help her get her business going again.  She is great.

Re: " New normal" might include higher prices

This is very interesting topic.

I got a call today from a nail salon I had used a few times.  They've been closed since 3/8 - but are re-opening with "limited" clients.

Heres the guidelines she gave me:

CASH only - I assume they can't afford the 3-4% fee merchants pay to cc companies

Mask must be worn

NO pocketbooks, backpacks, etc.

Prior to appointment will be asked to use "special soap" for hand washing

These guidelines were fine until I asked the price:

$44 dip powder refill - prior to this was $33

$28 pedicure - prior was $20

I did schedule for two weeks when they reopen but if I find my regular salon re-opens and haven't raised prices like this I will go there.

My hairdresser already informed me she was not raising prices.
