I do enjoy reading some of the posts here. It's much more female oriented than the forums relevant to vehicles, as you might imagine.
I'm glad politics is discouraged here. There are loads of places to freely post political opinions and do battle, if desired. I find this forum pretty polite and often very helpful.
I agree with this, for the most part. I do think that the fact we can't post a link to a recipe on a news site because the page may have political content on the side bars to be over the top. Aside from that, I'm happy with the rules about no politics and no religion. I have plenty of other places to discuss those things.

I'm active on many social media sites, both professional and personal.
I'm active in quite a few groups that don't allow politics or religion and I think that's a good choice for some groups. I'm also active in many that are dedicated to politics and do discuss religion. Some forums or groups are dedicated to makeup, others to my profession, some to books or fandoms, like Disney, Marvel, or games.
It's good to have multiple outlets. When one place is slow and I'm bored, I have more to check out.

I don't know whether this counts, but I am active on a poetry site. Members submit their work for comments and likes (or dislikes, which are private). I've published many since I joined.

I used to post on twitter and I actually had alot of followers. Then I got hacked. I used to post on FB but then found how awful Zuckerberg (sp?) is so I bounced it. So..just here. Lots of smart, kind people with just a few exceptions.

Years ago someone here mentioned a place called Beachcomers or something like that, anyone know about this? I'm going to look it up after I sign off.
Thank you,
Cathy
Hello!
Im interested in finding other Forums/BBs as well.
Salon website used to have “Table Talk”.
Anyone remember READERVILLE?? Loved loved loved that website, but the “owner/creator” (MJ ROSE) became a published author and no longer
maintained the BBs.
Theres makeupalley (for Beauty fans....not for me!)
Theres Primetimer forums...
I comment on NYT/WAPO news articles sometimes.

I'm in a couple of Facebook groups that I enjoy. I don't participate in any other boards like this one. I am glad Politics discussions are not allowed here. I find it interesting, though, that even though they're not allowed I know many people's views. When they express those views vaguely enough to not get removed it surprises me.

Facebook - I'm on there for many years along with family, friends, and nephews and nieces. And there I can post anything religious that I want, too. During this time, we are watching Masses etc. through Facebook.
