So happy to see you posting, @Still Stylish Lady ! It has been awhile since I have seen you on here and you have STILL got it !

Embrace it. Old age, I mean. I am almost 65. Certainly past middle age. So that means that I am old. We, our society, should not be afraid to admit that. IMO, we should be proud.

I think it very much depends on what your physical and mental conditions are. There's just too many exceptions these days, I have a neighbor who is a jogger and she is out every morning and she is in her 70's. Looks great, but also still very much full of life.
How I know it's because I'm out every morning jogging, too, and I would fall into the category of elderly adult.

i was at my 20th HS Reunion and chatted with my first boyfriend and he said we are middle-aged. We were 38 then!! that was almost 30 yrs ago.

I think it's nitpicking. By age 50 you're already starting to shrink. After 60 it's a slow decline. So I'd put 50 as mid life. 65 as elderly. Our quality of life has declined and while Americans are living longer, too often it is a prolonged illness till death.

I'm in old age. What names are 80 and 90? Coin toss?
Blessed, not too many reach that age

Just a chart. Hubby and I are active, have lots of friends, do activities that take concentration and physical and mental activity. I tell everyone I am 15 and I totally believe feel and believe it. No chart will ever define me.

@Kachina, you hit the nail on the head! It's so individual! Some people fit a rule or chart, but many don't!
You can seem old before your time or still seem youthful while at a senior age- One chart does not fit all! And thank goodness for that!
