Without doubt, my fat beagle. My husband could help me carry her out.

I have go bags for my pets but probably should do one for me also.

In 15 minutes I think I could get my dog, my cat in his carrier, my medicine and my purse.
If the house was on fire I would take my dog and cat.

My 6 cats
My Suzie Orman box
My husband can manage on his own.

I would likely perish while I was still loading the car.
I would of course take my two dogs (and any other humans) and my purse.
Then it would be my three boys' baby books
The SD cards and jump drives and CDs of photos and videos
The home videos that are not yet on jump drives
The negatives of all my photographs
My parents' wedding rings and other special jewelry
Cash
I could go on and on. Hopefully this will never happen to me.
I remember seeing cars fleeing the New Orleans area with not much in it. Some of those homes were completely destroyed and they lost everything. I would take as much as I possibly could of the things that could not be replaced.

Because we travel back and forth between homes, everything is already in containers. I have got it down to a fine art. DH and I could be packed pretty well in 15 minutes. Important papers, our Bibles, supplements, cosmetics, meds, clothes. I could pack our cooler in two minutes. I already have ice blocks frozen. The dog would be standing next to the pick up because that is where he always is when we are packing reminding us not to forget him.

Dogs are the best - I love them so much!

About 8 years ago DH and I were 10 hrs from home when we got a standby alert for possible wildfire at our mtn home. Told my son to grab my jewelry, my Suze Orman box and my two dogs. Fortunately, he didn't have to evacuate.

15 minutes? My behind, my purse, husband and out the door. The rest is just stuff.
